After dinner, Zachary Redgrave roped Zoe Yates into playing video games with him. They sat side-by-side on the living room sofa, and just as the game was getting intense, Zoe suddenly died.
"You're so hopeless. How could you die like that?"
Zachary tossed his phone aside and gave Zoe an annoyed shove just as she was leaning over the coffee table to grab some fruit. Caught off guard by the push, Zoe panicked and grabbed onto Zachary's arm.
And then... with a THUD, they both tumbled to the floor, their lips landing perfectly together.
Almost instantly, Zoe's face, neck, and even her ears flushed bright red. Her mind went completely blank.
Zachary's hands were braced on either side of Zoe's body. His Adam's apple bobbed. 'This is the second time we've kissed.'
'My heart is still racing out of control.'
Zoe's eyelashes fluttered. Her hands, not knowing where to go, nervously gripped the hem of her shirt. Her breathing and pulse were a frantic mess.
