The sudden tension, along with that slight flutter in his chest, gave rise to a rather unsettling thought in Zachary Redgrave's mind.
'What damn business of mine is it who this sissy hangs out with?'
'He'd just been so angry... Don't tell me he's... fallen for this sissy.'
'Familiarity breeds fondness... Could it be... he's turned gay?'
Zachary Redgrave shook his head hard. 'How is that possible? He was a real man, straight as an arrow. There was absolutely no way his brain was so waterlogged that he'd fall for some androgynous sissy.'
'That was something that wouldn't happen in a million years.'

Zoe Yates's delicate features scrunched up in pain. Her wrist really, really hurt from his grip.
