Morgan Joyce rolled down his window and called out to Hannah Hale's retreating figure, his rich voice tinged with an almost imperceptible tenderness.
Hannah Hale turned around and tucked a wind-blown strand of hair behind her ear. "If you hadn't mentioned it, I would have completely forgotten. Drive safe. I'm heading in now."
Hannah Hale took the breakfast bag from Morgan Joyce, giving him a small wave with a faint smile.
Only after watching Hannah Hale enter the villa did Morgan Joyce take off his glasses and wearily pinch the bridge of his nose. He leaned back in his seat, sitting quietly for a moment before driving away.
After returning home, Hannah Hale had a quick breakfast and was about to go to her room to sleep.
She hadn't slept all night, and between that and worrying about the girl's safety, she was now utterly exhausted.
