"Go to the hospital. Hurry."
Morgan Joyce looked up and yelled at his dazed assistant in the driver's seat, his expression terrifyingly dark.
Feeling like he was on pins and needles, the assistant quickly started the car. 'Since when did the boss care so much about a woman? He even just carried her in his arms.'
'Wasn't he supposed to be uninterested in women?'
'Don't tell me he's had a change of heart?'
"I'm fine, don't make such a big fuss."
Hannah Hale listlessly leaned her head against the back seat, feeling utterly drained. The waves of pain shooting up from her foot made it impossible for her to rest.
Morgan Joyce leaned over, his large palm wrapping around her foot before placing it on his own lap. "Get some sleep for now. I'll wake you when we get to the hospital."
"What are you doing?"
Hannah Hale tried to pull her foot from his grasp, but he stopped her. "Don't move. You're not wearing any shoes. This way, you won't get cold."
