'We were having a perfectly normal conversation. Why did he have to start flirting again?'
Yvonne Sloan watched their sweet, intimate moment, the corners of her mouth twitching in envy.
After dinner, Laura Lowell saw Aiden Shaw to the door. "Well, goodnight then."
Laura Lowell started to close the door, but a large hand caught the frame. A moment later, she stumbled right into Aiden Shaw's embrace.
"What are you doing?"
"Have her move out tomorrow. It's inconvenient."
The man's deep, magnetic voice, mingled with his warm breath, washed over the top of Laura Lowell's head.
"If you can find a place for her, she'll move."
'The chances of finding a suitable place in a single day were probably slim.'
Aiden Shaw's lips curved into a slight smile as he pinched her chin. "Alright."
"Can you let go of me now? Yvonne is still waiting inside."
Aiden Shaw held Laura Lowell tightly, nuzzling his chin against the top of her head. "Have you given any more thought to getting married?"
