Nancy was completely certain. The two of them whispered for another moment before taking their seats.

Just as dinner was about ready, Aiden Shaw and Laura Lowell returned. The moment they walked in, Nancy ran over to them.
"LoriaLaura, what took you so long?"
"We hit some traffic, which delayed us a bit."
Aiden Shaw answered before Laura Lowell could.
In reality, they had just passed an ice cream shop when Laura Lowell had a sudden craving. Aiden Shaw had taken her inside to get some before they came over.
