Slaying a Knight of the same tier seemed to have cost him nothing.

He spoke three words. With a flick of his Long Sword, he transformed back into a streak of blood-red light and charged at Kade.
A chill ran through Kade's heart.
He looked at the man before him, a veritable Slaying Deity. He glanced at his own army, which had completely collapsed and was being ravaged by the Giant Beasts and cavalry. Finally, his eyes fell upon the nearby Prince of Karachi, whose face was ashen.
He knew the battle was lost.

Kade barely managed to block Luke's powerful, heavy blow. The web of his thumb went numb, and the force of the impact sent him stumbling backward.
Luke's attacks had no flair, only the purest, most extreme killing intent and Power.
