Director Keane was talking with Clara Grant. He glanced behind her, then asked with a smile, "Where's President Quinn? You have such a brilliant scene today. Isn't he coming to watch?"
As he spoke, he sighed inwardly. 'Good heavens, their relationship is finally out in the open. I don't have to keep covering for them anymore.'
A flicker of discomfort crossed Clara Grant's face. She said evasively, "He... had something else to do, so he had to rush back. Um, Director, isn't it about time? I need to hurry and get my makeup on."
