When she didn't take it, Clara Grant didn't retract her hand, holding her pose. "What? You don't want it? Or are you afraid it's a trap?"
Sandra's gaze shifted from the box in Clara's hand to her face. After a long moment, she let out a sudden sneer and reached for it. "You owe me this, so why wouldn't I take it? Besides, I doubt you'd dare pull any tricks."
Clara Grant arched an eyebrow but said nothing. The moment Sandra's hand touched the box, however, she jerked back with a small cry. "Ah!"
Sandra was startled and immediately snatched her hand back. The movement was so abrupt that she nearly bumped into the makeup vanity, her panic and fear plain to see.
Seeing her reaction, Clara Grant couldn't help but laugh. "Just teasing."
She glanced at the box in her hand, then back at Sandra. "Here."
When Sandra saw her laughing, she realized she'd been played. She shot Clara a furious glare and snatched the box from her hand.
