Faye Jennings's gaze rested lightly on Clara Grant's profile. Though her lips were curved into a smile, her eyes held a sinister chill.
'Hmph. Sister-in-law? Calling her that so soon is just asking for bad luck.'
Although she knew it was perfectly natural for Miles Quinn to call her "sister-in-law," Clara Grant still felt a little embarrassed. Blushing, she said, "I'm still not quite used to that. Why don't you just call me Clara?"
"Of course I have to call you sister-in-law. You'll get used to it," Miles Quinn said with a smile.
Director Keane chimed in with a laugh. "That's right. Everything takes some getting used to. Clara, you're so adaptable, I'm sure you're not going to be intimidated by a simple form of address."
Clara Grant could only offer an embarrassed smile and didn't press the issue.
