Jean Jarvis didn't dare tell Cedric Grant that they had stolen the paternity test, but she also didn't want him to use Clara Grant as an excuse to keep pestering Skylar Hayes.
So she softened her tone, trying to reason with him calmly. This might also prevent him from flying into a rage when he eventually found out the truth.
"Cedric, we don't necessarily have to rely on Clara Grant to connect with the Quinn Family. We still have Chloe..."
Before she could finish, Cedric Grant cut her off. "Chloe? You think Chloe can marry Seth Quinn?"
Jean Jarvis froze for a moment before rushing to say, "Why would she marry Seth Quinn? Isn't marrying Miles the same thing? Weren't we just talking to the Quinn Family about having Chloe marry Miles a while back?
