Cecilia Adler: "I was the one looking out for you."
Aunt Moss snapped out of it and smiled at Cecilia Adler. "You're right. How did you know it was going to thunder? That's incredible."
Cecilia Adler grinned, showing her pearly whites. "I can tell fortunes, Auntie."
"You're not pulling my leg, are you?" Aunt Moss said, skeptical.
"It's true," Cecilia Adler insisted seriously.
Aunt Moss said, "Then tell me this: will my son be successful in the future?"
"He's your son, so of course he'll be successful. Promotions and raises are only a matter of time," Cecilia Adler said, telling Aunt Moss what she wanted to hear.
Aunt Moss beamed. "May the ancestors watch over us."
Cecilia Adler: "..."
.....
Despite rushing, Cecilia Adler and Aunt Moss still got soaked to the bone by the rain on their way home.
Once they got home, they both showered and changed their clothes.
To be on the safe side, Aunt Moss made some ginger tea and brought it to Cecilia Adler.
