Ian Quincy knew Titus Shaw was in a hurry, but he hadn't expected him to be this desperate.
To so brazenly place the photograph in the most conspicuous spot in the living room... The hint was a little too obvious.
He said, "Didn't you say you couldn't see it clearly?"
"I recognized his build."
Just then, the housekeeper brought over a fruit platter. When she saw the two of them looking at the photograph, she panicked. 'Her employer had ordered her to put away all the photos in the living room first thing in the morning, yet she'd somehow missed one.'
She quickly pressed an apple into Cecilia Adler's hand. "Here, dear, have an apple."
Cecilia Adler thanked her. She set the photo frame down to take the apple, then placed it on the table.
The housekeeper's gaze lingered on Cecilia Adler's face.
Cecilia Adler said uncomfortably, "Ma'am, is there something on my face?"
"Oh no, not at all. I was just struck by how much you resemble our employer."
