Si Shuo nodded emphatically. "Well, Xu Chi, you're on your own then. But I still want to eat some small fish!"
Xu Chi smiled and rubbed her head. "Alright, I'll write to Gong You."
He snapped his fingers, creating a Protective Shield. Then he took out a pen and paper and began to write neatly. He explained that after his promotion, he had gotten too excited and accidentally lost control, which resulted in Si Shuo's pregnancy.
He also mentioned that Si Shuo missed him terribly... his small fish!
Si Shuo watched from the side, biting her lip to suppress a smile. She couldn't tell if Xu Chi had done it on purpose or if he just happened to need a new line, but the break came right between the word "him" and the phrase "his small fish."
At that dramatic pause, Si Shuo could just imagine the cold light flashing in Gong You's dark green eyes.
