There was something comforting about taking a bath in the washroom while someone waited outside.
"You washed your hair?" Jie Jingchen asked, his brow furrowing slightly in displeasure when he saw that she had.
"Yeah, I did," Qin Mei nodded, unconcerned. She knew washing her hair during her period wasn't ideal, but it felt too uncomfortable to leave it unwashed.
'The periods this body got were always irregular,' she mused. 'They came without warning, always catching her off guard. Fortunately, they never lasted more than three days.'
Jie Jingchen stared at her with his sharp eyes. His gaze made Qin Mei extremely uneasy, like ants were crawling all over her. It was an awful feeling, and for some reason, it made her feel guilty.
The stiff line of Jie Jingchen's lips twitched. He took a step forward, draping a military greatcoat over her shoulders. His voice was low, laced with a commanding authority. "From now on, don't wash your hair when it's that time of the month."
