"Mona, why haven't you touched the food Mom made? Do you know how much effort I put into this?"
Hearing this, Chelsea Raines looked over and joined in the scolding. "Mona, do you eat like a bird? How can you eat so little? Your mom spent a long time preparing this lunch for you. This is just outrageous. You have no consideration for your mother. How could a child be so ungrateful?"
Nathan Lynch glanced at the steak swimming in a thick sauce inside the lunchbox, a flicker of disgust in his eyes.
Suddenly, his eyes lit up as he remembered what Aunt Kenway had told him.
"Mom spent such a long time preparing this. Mona can't bear to eat it, so I should save it for Mom to eat. Mom cares so much for Mona, and Mona cares for Mom too. Mona wants to save the most delicious food for Mom. If Mom doesn't eat it, Mona will feel really guilty and sad."
