Since all the little guests were experiencing life as first graders at Hope Elementary, the principal joined Naomi Kenway in handing out the red flower stickers.
Mr. Holloway was also standing nearby, seemingly lost in thought.
Seven students in the class received red flower stickers, three of whom were the little guests there to experience school life.
Teacher Sanders was the first-grade math teacher. Back in the office, she had just reviewed Ian Shaw's test, and many of his problem-solving methods were so unique it was hard to believe such original thinking came from a kindergartener.
She adjusted her glasses and suggested, "Principal, Ian was the only student in class to get a perfect score on the math test. I think we should give him a red flower sticker as encouragement!"
Everyone appreciates talent.
The principal nodded. "I heard Ian answered the questions very quickly too. He certainly deserves some encouragement, especially at his age... It's truly remarkable."
