As Renee Jennings spoke, she pushed Six behind her. "Six, does your leg still hurt?" she asked gently. "Don't you worry. Aunt Renee is here. I absolutely will not let you be mistreated."
"Renee Jennings, are you insane?" Naomi Kenway froze, her expression turning icy.
"I'm insane? You're the one who's insane," Renee Jennings retorted. "Six is already such a poor thing, how dare you order her around? Naomi, you're so selfish, always trying to slack off. Do you really need someone else to run your errands for you?"
Fed up with the racket, Naomi Kenway's face went completely cold. "So self-righteous, sticking your nose into everything. You'd better shut your mouth right now, or I won't hesitate to throw you out."
