Nathaniel Lynch and Renee Jennings walked into the living room. Renee kept glancing toward the upstairs bedroom and couldn't help but say, "Mona is just a child. He's only six. Why are you being so hard on him?"
"He's gotten more and more rebellious since he turned five. He doesn't listen. Now he dares to refuse to call you his mother and smashes your phone. When I'm old, I'm afraid he'll probably be the one to unplug my oxygen tank!" Nathaniel Lynch sat on the sofa, his face flushed with anger.
Renee Jennings sighed.
"When we got together, I promised I'd never let you suffer any grievances. I can't believe Mona was the one to talk back to you like this." Nathaniel Lynch personally handed her a cup of herbal tea. "Don't worry. I'll discipline him properly."
Renee Jennings didn't take the cup, her brow still furrowed.
Only then did Nathaniel Lynch notice her low spirits. He quickly sat beside her and put an arm around her shoulder. "What's wrong? Who upset you?"
