The Liao Kingdom in the Northern Domain was once the home of the Nine Yang Sect.
A thousand years is a long time, yet not so long. By now, few traces of the Nine Yang Sect remained in the Liao Kingdom.
The Nine Yang Sect once served as a bulwark for the seven sects against the Four Demon Sects, as their True Yang Body cultivation was a powerful counter to the Demon Sects. Back then, the northern defensive line of the Western Continent was impregnable, and the Four Demon Sects dared not cross it.
After the fall of the Nine Yang Sect, the situation in the Northern Domain began to deteriorate. The Seven Kingdoms of the Northern Domain were infiltrated by the Demon Sects to varying degrees.
In some county towns far from the state capital, there were even vicious incidents where entire populations had their blood drained and souls refined by Demon Cultivators.
