Reaching out to press down on the hardened arrow embedded in his chest, the Fate Titan opened his mouth and let out a roar. Then, with a forceful tug, he yanked out the hardened arrow soaked in boiling blood and tossed it aside.
Gripping tightly the long-handled spike hammer taken from the War Hammer Titan, he swung it forward without the slightest hesitation.
White light gathered, and another hardened arrow condensed atop the hardened crossbow in the War Hammer Titan's hands. The trigger was pulled, and the arrow shot out at high speed.
But the Fate Titan had anticipated it. Reacting with extreme speed, he swung the long-handled spike hammer and knocked the arrow away. In the blink of an eye, the Fate Titan had already closed in on the War Hammer Titan.
Raising both hands high above his head, the long-handled spike hammer smashed down toward the War Hammer Titan with unstoppable force.
The War Hammer Titan decisively discarded the crossbow in her hands and raised that hardened shield with both arms.
Boom!!! The collision between the long-handled spike hammer and the shield erupted with terrifying force and momentum. The explosive roar made even the guards watching from not far away cover their ears.
It had to be said, worthy of the War Hammer Titan—this hammer's quality was truly excellent. The hardened shield held up by the War Hammer Titan was now covered in cracks, yet the long-handled spike hammer in the Fate Titan's hands remained firm and intact.
The Fate Titan's overwhelming strength also proved too much for the War Hammer Titan to withstand, and the entire Titan was smashed down onto one knee.
But it was far from over. The War Hammer Titan forcefully flipped the shield aside. With both hands now free, she made a grasping motion in the air as white light gathered once more.
Puchi! A greatsword appeared in the War Hammer Titan's hands. The elongated blade thrust straight through the Fate Titan's body.
"Roar!" Startled, the Fate Titan kicked the War Hammer Titan away. She tumbled through the Louis family manor, crushing quite a few buildings and flowers before managing to rise again with the support of the greatsword.
Bill looked at the manor being ravaged by the two Titans, his brows knotted into a tight lump.
The Titan power's formidable regenerative ability quickly repaired the wounds on the Fate Titan's body. The two massive Titans faced off once more.
However, upon closer observation, one could see that the War Hammer Titan was already slightly out of breath, her body trembling faintly. In contrast, the Fate Titan still looked as murderous as ever.
Through the War Hammer Titan's perspective, Lara Tybur also sensed that something was wrong. Her stamina had been consumed more severely than expected. She had originally thought she could take down the opponent quickly, but she hadn't anticipated that the intelligent Titan across from her would be this difficult to handle.
It wasn't entirely Lara Tybur's fault. Ever since she inherited the War Hammer Titan, her family had instilled in her that the War Hammer Titan's power was invincible. That invincible strength had protected the Tybur family for countless years and would continue to do so in the future.
In such an environment, Lara Tybur had developed a slightly arrogant personality. Whether toward Ebson or the intelligent Titan before her now, she had initially regarded them with contempt or even disdain. Of course, Lara Tybur herself had never fought an intelligent Titan before, but... now?
Almost at the same time, the two Titans raised their weapons and charged at each other. The War Hammer Titan shouted angrily,
"Devil of the island of demons! Face death!"
Fate Titan: "ROAR!!!" (Translation: Screw you!)
One hardened spike after another appeared before the Fate Titan, attempting to wound or hinder his charge. But the Fate Titan swung the long-handled spike hammer—one smash, one crisp shatter. It had to be said, this hammer was incredibly satisfying to use. Yago was very pleased.
Using a weapon made by the enemy to strike the enemy?
The greatsword slashed upward; the long-handled spike hammer smashed downward. The two Titans were like ancient gladiators recorded in history, wielding primitive weapons and fighting madly.
Dozens of wounds appeared on the Fate Titan's body, blood pouring down like pillars. If he were truly an ordinary gladiator, he would have long since died from excessive blood loss. But he was a Titan. This level of damage was nothing to him.
As for the War Hammer Titan, her condition could be described as horrific. A Titan named after the war hammer was now beaten beyond recognition by the very hammer she had formed.
Additionally, the white skin covering the War Hammer Titan was actually a layer of softened hardened skin, extremely tough. So although she had been smashed terribly, there wasn't much blood spurting out on the surface.
Bang! A heavy, forceful strike directly crushed the War Hammer Titan's sword-wielding hands into a flattened mass. Yago knew it was time to end this. Here, he was alone—there were no airships or Survey Corps coming to support him.
Stepping down on the War Hammer Titan's body, now stripped of resistance, the Fate Titan spread his claws and viciously dug into the ground beneath her feet.
Soon, along a white hardened tube, the Fate Titan yanked out a massive hardened sphere from underground as if pulling up a potato. Inside the hardened sphere was Lara Tybur, her expression still frozen in the confidence and composure she had worn at the moment of transformation.
"Not good! That Titan defeated the War Hammer Titan—what do we do!?" The guards who had been watching the spectacle instantly panicked. As Marleyans, they naturally knew the War Hammer Titan belonged to their side. But now that she had been defeated, would that red-eyed Titan turn on them as well?
When the guards turned to seek Chief Steward Bill's advice, they realized he was nowhere to be found.
...
On the other side, at some unknown moment, Bill had arrived at the top floor of the villa. Beside him stood a thin figure.
Watching as the Fate Titan dug the War Hammer Titan's host out from underground, Bill smiled, revealing a set of gleaming white teeth.
"Newt, it's your turn. Burn that Titan to charcoal."
At his words, the figure beside Bill hesitated. Bill frowned and said,
"What? Not willing? Think about your wife. If her medication is stopped..."
"No! No! Please don't!" The man suddenly cried out in despair, then leapt down from the top of the villa.
Hardened material gathered at his fingertips, forming sharp claws. Empowered by the Jaw Titan's power, the claws easily carved marks into the hardened sphere formed by Lara Tybur. After several slashes, just as the hardened sphere was about to be torn apart, a tremendous force suddenly erupted from behind.
The Fate Titan turned around. Yellow arcs of electricity descended from above, mixed with streaks of deep red lightning. Steam and shockwaves began to spread.
The commotion was so massive that the guards who had initially surrounded the villa scattered in terror.
Standing on the top floor, Bill felt the scorching heatwave rushing toward him. He stretched out his hand fanatically and shouted,
"This is the power of Lord Ebson! The power of science!"
Inside the nape of the Fate Titan, Yago's expression turned extremely grave. What was this? Another Titan? A Titan truly created by Ebson?!
Before the steam and shockwaves had even dissipated, Yago's pupils suddenly shrank, because a massive and blazing pillar of fire was surging toward the Fate Titan, blotting out the sky.
