Sapphire had already made up her mind, but the moment her gaze met Vanessa's, her expression became even uglier than before. Vanessa's eyes were practically burning as she stared at Mary and Ryan, filled with hatred and malice. In her heart, she wished the two of them would die outside and never come back.
Mary noticed the old woman's venomous stare and, instead of shrinking back, deliberately curved her lips into a faint smile. Her eyes carried a clear provocation, as if she were silently saying, What can you do?
