Ryan looked at her bright, animated face, and his heart softened. For her, he was willing to do anything. "The sky's already bright," he said gently. "Let's hurry and pick her up. If we set off early, we should be home by this time tomorrow."
In his mind, he had already mapped out the route, choosing roads that were smoother and less tiring.
Suddenly, Mary thought of something else. "Hubby, why don't you stay in the mindscape for now? I'll call you out after I send Thea to her place. Someone might have seen Aurelius Von Obsidian when he left earlier."
Ryan's eyes flickered with understanding, and he nodded. It really would be troublesome if anyone noticed too much.
With a wave of her hand, Mary sent Ryan into the mindscape and then locked the door behind her.
