"Yes," Mary replied calmly. "Don't worry too much. His body is forcefully absorbing the medicinal effects. Once the absorption stabilizes, the fever will naturally subside."
Mary sat beside Rose's bed, but her gaze drifted repeatedly to Ethan. From a distance, she could see his face growing redder by the minute. This couldn't go on. Even if his body was evolving, an unchecked fever could cause serious damage.
She immediately gave orders. "Go fetch cold water. Use a towel, soak it, and keep applying it to his forehead."
The people still in the room rushed out at once. More than twenty people moved together, bumping into one another as they hurried, all anxious to help.
"That's enough," Ryan said firmly. "Most of you go back and rest. We don't need everyone crowding here. Leave just a few people."
John stepped forward without hesitation. "Luke and I will stay and take care of Ethan."
Ryan nodded. "Good. The rest of you, go back and rest."
