Although Rimo had agreed with Nion yesterday, he couldn't allow her to slack off during training. The problem was that cheating was a prerogative of children. So he had to come up with something to lure Nion. If Nion had been a boy, it would have required much more effort. But facing Nion a cute little loli Rimo really couldn't bring himself to be harsh.
After thinking long and hard, he decided to take out some toys and snacks from his previous life. Surprisingly, the strategy worked perfectly on Nion.
Just as Rimo reclined on the chair, smiling while watching Nion exercise, Wright Nosla appeared in the backyard, his expression serious. Watching Rimo train Nion, he wisely remained at the edge, not daring to disturb without permission.
"Nosla, come here," Rimo called.
Wright Nosla hadn't approached Rimo directly since Rimo helped Bart start his studies. It wasn't that he didn't want to, but he understood that Rimo didn't like being disturbed. Previously, Nosla hadn't dared to send Bart out on missions, fearing that hostile Nen users could ambush him. And realistically, most of the Nosla family members were useless in combat more like liabilities than soldiers. If someone knocked on their door, would it be Bart alone?
Now things were different. After incorporating part of the Fanobi family, the quality of Nosla's members had risen by roughly 20 Nen levels. Rimo had been sitting there the whole time; Nosla no longer feared outside threats. He even hoped someone would summon Rimo.
Rimo looked at Nosla's solemn expression. Clearly, some obstacle in expanding the organization remained, one even Bart couldn't resolve. Perhaps it was the "family" episode hinted at in the prophecy poem.
"Rimo, I may trouble you this time," Wright Nosla said, bowing slightly.
"Did something happen to Bart? Or is there a Nen threat nearby?" Rimo asked, guessing the two most likely reasons for Nosla's visit.
Sure enough, Nosla confirmed it. "Sir Rimo, here's the situation. The Fanobi family you and your partner destroyed left an illegitimate child, who was sent to a subordinate branch of the Fanobi family. This child inherited part of their secret legacy and has now hired a group of Nen mercenaries seeking revenge. Bart confronted them, but he was severely injured in a single encounter. If not for his experience escaping, he might not have survived. Relying solely on the Nosla family, we cannot compete. I have no choice but to disturb your rest and ask for your assistance, Lord Rimo."
Nosla bowed 90 degrees again.
"Ah, Nen mercenaries?" Rimo touched his chin, intrigued. Could this be the "episode" in the prophecy?
"Two billion," Rimo said suddenly. "Two billion rennis. I will accept payment after your Nosla family receives the target's inheritance." His tone brooked no argument.
Nosla, accustomed to handling trivial matters for Rimo, understood this meant Rimo wanted to personally intervene and would charge for it. Normally, helping Bart with daily issues was free. Now, Rimo was treating a combat engagement like a mercenary contract. Nosla immediately agreed without bargaining.
"No problem. We are grateful that Lord Rimo takes the initiative and allows payment after the target's property is secured," Nosla said, bowing again.
Rimo had already offered a generous deal. He didn't just want to defeat the enemy; he wanted to annihilate their forces completely, as he had done with the Fanobi family. Two billion rennis was a discount, considering Nosla's habitual flattery. Allowing post-payment was an additional concession.
Rimo waved his hand. "Alright, keep it in your heart." Then he manifested a trident kunai in his hand, condensing his aura in a flash. White bandages around the handle were inscribed with black runes.
After finishing, he handed the kunai to Wright Nosla. "Send someone to the enemy base tomorrow. If you can't get inside, throw this kunai to the nearest point. Text me when it's done."
This was Rimo's new ability: [The Art of Flying Thunder God]! Its development was motivated by Machi. Though he didn't say it, he worried about Machi's safety when she was alone. He had worked non-stop since the brigade left, developing this technique to reach her instantly if she were in danger.
The original Flying Thunder God technique, created by Namikaze Minato in Hunter x Hunter, allowed instantaneous teleportation to marked targets. Rimo adapted the concept with Nen: by engraving a mark onto a medium, he could teleport objects or himself through his aura. Using [Material Realization], he could even create trident kunai to act as teleportation mediums.
Although his short-range ability [Bombing Space] allowed instantaneous relocation in combat, it couldn't achieve long-distance travel. [Flying Thunder God Technique] filled this gap, giving him strategic mobility, surprise attacks, or rapid rescue capability. The principle was the same as Minato's teleportation: once the mark was in place, activation was immediate, versatile, and required no sealing.
Rimo's preparation was meticulous. The trident kunai became the medium, [Flying Thunder God] ready for the mission. Nosla now had the perfect tool to deploy Rimo's Nen with surgical precision.
