Chapter 138 - Chapter 138: Birka

Chapter 138: Birka

"But this works out too. Let the Wind God beat them up every now and then—it'll toughen them up."

Jiang Qize stood up slowly with a smile.

He had already been on Sky Island for a full week. In that time, he had finally settled everything there. The Raptorex and the Mosasaurus had already descended to the Blue Sea below. Going with them were Shandia's Berserker Wyper and the mantis Kamakiri.

They'd all eaten dinosaur fruits, and they carried sky-shell weapons developed by Ba wang, as well as a two-seater Waver—a model even faster than the Dragon Flame in normal conditions.

The residents of Sky Island, seeing that their lives weren't any different from before and no longer living in fear, had returned to their previous calm.

Gan Fall and the chief had also eaten dinosaur fruits.

Even though their strength wasn't amazing and their age wasn't young, they still had years left in them and could help manage Sky Island for him.

Everything was moving in the direction he wanted.

"Let's go. Head down!"

Jiang Qize patted the Wind God's back and spoke softly.

"Yaa~" The Wind God cried out and swooped downward.

In just a few seconds they returned to the divine palace.

The moment he landed, little Robin rushed over in a flurry, nearly crashing into him before stopping in front of him.

"Captain…"

"What's got you so worked up?" Jiang Qize ruffled her hair as he asked.

"Captain, I found the Birka you were looking for."

Little Robin closed her eyes and exhaled in delight as he rubbed her head.

Jiang Qize's hand paused. His eyes lit up.

"Take me there!"

He grabbed Robin, leapt onto the Wind God's back, and said urgently.

They had finally found Birka. He had been on Sky Island for an entire week, and even with wo kung Pteranodon and Robin searching separately, it had taken this long—proof of just how vast Sky Island was.

"Over there!"

Robin pointed.

"Yaa~" The Wind God beat its wings, its enormous body shooting upward and parting the clouds as it flew toward that direction.

Ten minutes later—

"Th-there, Captain— that's Birka!"

Robin shouted from the Wind God's back, pointing down at a cluster of cloud-stone buildings.

"Mm. Go down."

Jiang Qize's lips curved upward.

The Thunder Fruit—he was finally about to get it.

And he already knew exactly how he wanted to use it.

Whoosh!

The Wind God dove downward.

Birka.

"Mom, what's that…?"

Outside a simple cloud-stone house, a little girl with a ponytail, wearing a white dress, barefoot, and with a pair of small white wings on her back, pointed up at the sky with curiosity.

"Nia, what are you looking at?"

A simple-looking woman with wings on her back stepped out from inside and followed her daughter's finger.

When she saw what was in the sky, the sky-shell in her hand slipped out and fell.

Clatter!

"Nia, inside. Don't make a sound."

Terrified, the woman grabbed her daughter and rushed into the house, shutting the door tight.

"Mom… why do we have to go inside?" Nia asked, puzzled, her big round eyes full of confusion.

"Don't talk."

The woman quickly covered her mouth, nervously listening to the sounds outside.

It wasn't just them—everyone in Birka had seen the thing in the sky. Some were curious, others frightened. But very few stayed outside to keep watching.

Whoooom!!

A violent gale swept through, darkening the entire sky above Birka as if the end of the world had descended.
