Chapter 55 - Into the Wild

After saying this to the three assistants, Su Yu picked up the order forms and began carefully counting them, checking whether the materials in storage were sufficient. If anything was lacking, he would need to purchase more as soon as possible. While he was busy, Chen Xier and Bu Ni returned from the backyard, having deliberately avoided disturbing him earlier and spending their time outside instead.

"Su Yu.""Senior Su Yu."

Hearing their voices, Su Yu raised his head slightly. "What's wrong?" he asked casually, continuing to sort through the orders while chatting with them.

Bu Ni went straight to the point. "In a few days, I want to leave some Pokémon with you. Can you help train them for me?"

Su Yu paused immediately and looked up at her, a little surprised. "Second echelon?" he asked directly.

Bu Ni nodded. "Yes. My first team is already complete. It's time to start preparing the second one. I won't have much time to focus on them for now, so I plan to leave them here. When I'm free, I'll come over and build rapport with them."

Hearing this, Su Yu nodded without hesitation. "No problem. If you think it's suitable, just send them over. I'll prepare the energy cubes separately when the time comes."

Business knocking on his door was something he naturally wouldn't refuse. Still, he couldn't help being curious about what type of Pokémon Bu Ni planned for her second team. Steel-types again? There weren't many good-looking ones left. Maybe she was planning to branch out into another attribute entirely.

After finalizing the arrangement, Bu Ni prepared to leave. "Then I'll be going, Senior Su Yu. I'll come back after some time."

"Alright," Su Yu replied, lowering his head again. "I'll keep working. I won't see you off."

The two didn't disturb him further and left together, and the breeding house gradually returned to its quiet state, leaving only the laughter of children playing in the backyard.

Su Yu quickly finished counting the materials and confirmed that there were shortages. He immediately pulled out his phone and began placing orders, arranging for fruit deliveries that afternoon. At the same time, he purchased a large number of items from a prop dealer, including several Evolution Stones and Dawn Stones. Kirlia was about to evolve into Gallade, and the remaining ones would soon become Gardevoir.

After completing the payments, Su Yu finally let out a breath of relief. The breeding house hadn't been open for long, yet it was already making impressive profits. For a fleeting moment, he even wondered whether raising a quasi-legendary might be possible—but quickly dismissed the thought. Ordinary quasi-legendaries cost hundreds of millions, not to mention training expenses. Shaking his head, he refocused on his work.

He spent the next two hours producing various energy cube samples for patent registration. Once everything was packed, Su Yu took Gallade with him and headed out while there was still time, arriving smoothly at the Breeders Association. Since the office was quiet, the patent registration went quickly. After testing the samples and confirming the formulas, the staff entered the patent data into the system.

When handing over the certificate, one of the staff members asked, "Mr. Su Yu, would you like to authorize your patent? If you want, I can introduce you to some companies."

Su Yu shook his head calmly. "No. I already have a partner company."

The staff member looked disappointed but didn't press the matter further. Su Yu smiled politely, took the certificate, and left. With the patent secured, things would become much simpler. Tomorrow, he would start teaching the assistants how to produce the patented energy cubes, gradually turning them into true intermediate breeders.

Back at the breeding house, the fruits he ordered arrived in the afternoon. Xiaoyu and the others were busy counting quantities, and Su Yu joined them to help. Once everything was settled, he released Gallade and handed it a Dawn Stone.

"Give this to your brother," Su Yu said. "Let him evolve into Gallade too. Don't let him turn into Gardevoir."

He couldn't help complaining a little. Male Gardevoirs were… hard to accept. Gallade nodded, recognizing the stone, and teleported away to find its brother.

The following day, Su Yu began formally teaching the three assistants how to make energy cubes. Meanwhile, Gardevoir trained the Kirlia siblings nonstop, steadily improving their strength. Over the next few days, Su Yu focused on completing all the orders, while the children from the orphanage occasionally helped before inevitably running off to watch Pikachu and the others train.

After several days, all the orders were finally completed. Customers came one after another to collect their customized energy cubes, and their Pokémon clearly loved them. Su Yu was confident many would become repeat customers.

As the sun began to set, Su Yu gathered the three assistants. "Let's eat. Tomorrow's a day off. I'll take you out to catch Pokémon. Prepare your Poké Balls."

The three were instantly excited. Each of them prepared at least three Poké Balls, clearly eager for the trip.

The next morning, Su Yu tidied up the breeding house, recalled Gardevoir and Gallade, and set out with Pikachu, Pidgeot, and the three girls. After a bus ride into the mountains, they arrived at the edge of the wilderness. Dense forest stretched endlessly in front of them.

As they entered, Su Yu released Gallade for protection and Pikachu to clear the way. Along the path, Pikachu and later Charmander fought wild Pokémon, steadily gaining experience. Su Yu treated defeated Pokémon and left behind energy cubes as compensation, explaining to the girls that this reduced hostility toward humans in the wild.

After more than half an hour, they reached a vast grassland filled with Grass-type Pokémon. Su Yu immediately began capturing Oddish, Sunkern, and Bellossom to help manage his orchard. Xiaoyu successfully tamed her first Pokémon, Bellossom, while the others followed suit.

Later, they encountered a group of Scyther fighting other Pokémon—including a shiny Lurantis. Su Yu didn't hesitate. "Gallade, do it!"

The shiny Lurantis was subdued instantly. When a young man tried to intervene, Su Yu's Psychic pressure and Gallade's aura scared him off without resistance.

By noon, Su Yu had tamed more than a dozen Pokémon. Sitting under the shade, he explained his plan to the Grass-types: food, shelter, and safety in exchange for tending the orchard. Without hesitation, they agreed.

Looking at the Poké Balls in his bag, Su Yu smiled. The breeding house was about to become much livelier.
