Ralts' energy cubes worked fine for Kirlia and could technically be eaten by Gardevoir as well, but the effect was minimal at their level. As for Gallade, it was even less suitable—its Super/Fighting-type build required something completely different. If these two siblings were to continue growing stronger, they would need high-tier, customized cubes.

"Ralts?" she frowned. "Miss Chen's Ralts isn't here. That one didn't recognize me—but one of the Kirlia greeted me."
Su Yu paused. "…It evolved?"
Xiaoyu smacked her forehead. Of course. How did she miss that?
They hurried downstairs, where Su Yu pulled Chen Xi'er's former Ralts closer. No—Kirlia now.
"You evolved?" Su Yu asked.
"Lu~ru!"Yes!
Kirlia had evolved last night, apparently from sheer happiness while chatting with Gardevoir. Abrupt—but joyful.
Su Yu immediately snapped photos and sent them to Chen Xi'er. Then he turned to Xiaoyu and Mengke. "Help feed them first. They're all our Pokémon now. Use Ralts' energy cubes—I'll make proper ones later."
The assistants nodded, still stunned.
Soon after, the children from the orphanage rushed over. When they saw the cluster of Pokémon, excitement exploded.

Xiaoqing tilted her head. "Ralts, why are you so shy today—eh?"
A Kirlia stepped forward instead.

The Kirlia nodded proudly and began introducing its family. The Pokémon quickly warmed up to the children, and before long, laughter filled the yard.
