Chapter 112 - Chapter 113: A380 and the Global Express XRS

A total of $590 million— even after spending $100 million to buy a shipyard and another $50 million to build a luxury home and shopping center, Mavi still had around $450 million in his bank account. Once the Indian Navy's frigates were delivered, his balance would increase by several hundred million more. If he didn't spend some of it, if he didn't reward himself, then what was the difference between living and being a miser?

After hearing Mavi's words, even Jennifer, the heiress of the Marriott Group, felt like he was reaching for the stars! Gifting her a Bombardier Global Express as a present— that was simply too extravagant!

"This gift is way too expensive, Mavi. I can't accept it..." Jennifer firmly refused. If it were a regular gift, they could exchange presents back and forth— she could afford that.

But… a Bombardier private jet? There was no way Jennifer could reciprocate a gift of that magnitude!

"Are you sure you don't want it?" Mavi repeated.

"Yes." Jennifer nodded without hesitation.

Mavi glanced at her serious expression as she declined, then said nothing and simply drove into Bombardier's dealership.

If it had been any other gold digger or materialistic woman, they probably would've fallen over themselves at the offer of a private jet. But Jennifer? She was resolute in turning it down— and it didn't seem like she was pretending.

"If you don't want it, then I guess I'll just have to gift it to myself." Mavi shrugged as he pulled the car to a stop and unbuckled his seatbelt. Since she felt the gift was too extravagant, he wouldn't force it on her.

"Mm-hmm!" Jennifer nodded enthusiastically. She was already satisfied just knowing he had considered such a grand gesture.

Still, if she went home and told her father about this, the chairman of the Marriott Group would probably be furious at how "dense" his daughter was. "Why on earth would you refuse a gift like that from a man?"

When purchasing a private jet, most people schedule an appointment in advance. But there were also those who walked in and bought one on the spot— like Mavi.

As he and Jennifer entered the dealership's lobby, a well-dressed female sales associate approached with a professional smile. "Welcome to Bombardier Aerospace. Do you have an appointment?"

"No, we're just here to take a look," Mavi replied casually. He didn't bother having his butler schedule anything— he just wanted to buy it and leave.

"Oh, no appointment? In that case, please follow me, sir. I'll introduce you to our Bombardier models so you can learn more about them." The saleswoman remained warm and composed.

Even though Mavi was dressed simply, without a single expensive-looking item on him, she wouldn't dare judge him based on appearances. After all, anyone who stepped into a Bombardier dealership had to have some level of financial backing. Many of them dressed plainly but could spend money in a way that would leave onlookers in shock.

"No need for an introduction. I'll take a Bombardier Global Express XRS. How soon can it be delivered? What customization options are available for the interior?" Mavi asked directly. If buying a plane didn't require his personal signature and credit card, he would've just sent someone else to do it.

As soon as he finished speaking, the saleswoman froze for a moment, eyes widening in surprise.

"Uh… Excuse me, sir? Did you just say… you're buying it outright?" Even with her experience handling wealthy clients, she had never seen someone buy a top-tier private jet as casually as picking up groceries— and without even asking for the price! Clearly, purchasing a Bombardier jet was nothing to him.

"Sir, in that case... should I proceed with the contract? The delivery time for a private jet is about nine months. For interior customization, we offer six different design options for you to choose from." The saleswoman maintained her professionalism while explaining the details.

"Got it." Mavi nodded casually and, with the saleswoman's guidance, selected his preferred interior style and luxury finishes. Then he had his butler, who had arrived later, pull out a credit card for payment.

"Sir, the total cost of the order is $17.5 million. According to the contract, a 50% deposit is required upfront, which comes to $8.75 million," the saleswoman explained softly while holding the contract.

Mavi skimmed through the document before signing his name. Sitting beside him, Jennifer kept sneaking curious glances at him.

"Why do you keep looking at me? Is there something on my face?" Mavi asked, noticing her expression.

"No, it's just… my dad wouldn't even splurge on a Bombardier Global Express XRS. If I tell him about this, I can't imagine how he'll react."

Jennifer had no idea where Mavi had suddenly gotten so much money— to him, buying a $17.5 million private jet was as easy as making an impulse purchase. Compared to her father, who agonized over such decisions, she found the contrast amusing. She could already picture her dad's expression when he heard about this— especially since he hadn't been particularly warm toward Mavi in the past.

Seeing the mischievous glint in Jennifer's eyes, Mavi chuckled. "You're so bad."

Jennifer, hearing the slight complaint in his tone, immediately puffed up like a playful kitten and waved her hands at him. "I am not bad! I'm actually very kind! What— you don't like that?"

"I never said I didn't like it… But if you're going to tell your dad, you might as well also mention that I'm buying an A380 too." Mavi shrugged nonchalantly, as if to say, If we're causing trouble, let's go all in— your dad's the one who's going to be shocked, not me.

As soon as the words left his mouth, both Jennifer and the Bombardier saleswoman, who had been eavesdropping on their conversation, were stunned.

"What?! You're buying an A380 too?" Jennifer was truly shocked now. If she remembered correctly, an Airbus A380 cost over $80 million— the price of five Bombardier Global Express jets!

"Yeah, I'll go buy one after this," Mavi replied casually. To him, $80 million was nothing at this point. He just hoped Jennifer's father wouldn't be too shocked when he heard the news.

The Bombardier saleswoman, who had already been surprised earlier, was now completely floored. She had initially thought she'd hit the jackpot by encountering a wealthy client who bought a jet on the spot. But it turned out that buying a Bombardier was just an afterthought for this man— his real purchase was an A380!

His level of wealth was simply beyond comprehension.
