Chapter 111 - Chapter 112: Bombardier Global Express (Second Update)

Just as Major Sheknya was worrying unnecessarily, the man standing before her, Mavi, suddenly spoke calmly, saying, "I think the price is quite reasonable, Major Sheknya. Let's go with $100 million."

The moment those simple yet decisive words fell, Major Sheknya was momentarily stunned, unable to react.

It wasn't until half a second later that she suddenly realized—Mavi's questions and expressions earlier had all been intentional!

He had already decided to acquire 50% of the Black Sea Shipyard shares from the Ukrainian Navy for $100 million. However, Sheknya had no authority to make such a decision. At most, she could relay the offer and provide useful intelligence to facilitate the deal.

"Understood, Mr. Mavi. I believe we now have your offer. The Ukrainian Navy will consider it seriously," Major Sheknya replied in an official tone after snapping out of her daze.

"Alright, I'll be waiting for your good news."

Just like his previous acquisition of the North Sea Shipyard, Mavi didn't need to desperately push money to buy the shipyard. He simply had to make an offer and let the other party deliberate.

---

After leaving the Black Sea Shipyard and boarding a flight to the U.S., Major Sheknya relayed Mavi's $100 million offer to her father, Admiral Petrovich.

"Father, the Russians are willing to pay $100 million for 50% of the Black Sea Shipyard shares. That's pretty close to our estimated valuation. When do you want to give them an answer?" Sheknya asked over the phone.

"Let's hold off for a bit. We'll respond in about two weeks."

The Ukrainian Navy needed to put on a show, after all. Although they were eager for Mavi to save their struggling shipyard, military pride was at stake. That much was understood.

---

Meanwhile, high above the vast blue Pacific Ocean, Mavi was reclining comfortably in his seat, enjoying the gentle service of the flight attendants.

His instincts told him that the Black Sea Shipyard deal was more or less secured. Now, all that remained was waiting for an official response. He just hoped that nothing unexpected would come up—like some country suddenly deciding to order destroyers or aircraft carriers. That would be like watching a cooked duck fly away.

Mavi had plans—he intended to acquire shares in the Black Sea Shipyard and then assist Russia in building two aircraft carriers. After all, modern Russia had never built a single new aircraft carrier, whether nuclear-powered or conventionally powered. They were still relying on old Soviet-era models.

He was sure that, when the time came, President P would approach him to discuss the development of Russia's aircraft carrier battle group.

Besides aircraft carriers, Ukraine also had a large stockpile of nuclear warheads and bombers sitting idle in military warehouses. In a past life, NATO had paid Ukraine to dismantle these weapons due to its economic struggles, and Ukraine had complied.

But in this life, Mavi saw a golden business opportunity.

---

After a short nap on the plane, Mavi woke up to find himself in U.S. airspace. His flight would soon land at Washington Airport.

Since his last meeting with Jennifer at Disney, he hadn't seen his goddess for quite some time. So today, he planned to surprise both her and himself with a special gift—the Bombardier Global Express XRS.

Yes, the very same ultra-luxurious business jet that even Bill Gates adored. In one interview, Gates described buying a private jet as a "guilty pleasure"—because while owning one was incredibly convenient, it was also outrageously extravagant. The annual maintenance costs alone were enough to buy two or three luxury sports cars.

As Mavi's private jet landed at Washington Airport, he spotted his goddess, Jennifer, arriving in an Aston Martin DB-7 to pick him up.

Today, Jennifer was dressed in trendy slim-fit jeans and a white chiffon blouse, accentuating her stunning figure. Her stylish oversized sunglasses made her look like a movie star.

The moment she stepped out of the Aston Martin and opened the car door, she looked like she had walked straight out of a magazine. It was a sight so captivating that it was impossible to look away.

"What are you staring at?" Jennifer asked, gracefully approaching Mavi.

She had mixed feelings toward this heartless man who had ignored her for so long. She both loved and resented him, yet she was helpless against him.

"Just checking to see if you've put on weight after all this time," Mavi said with a teasing smile.

That first sentence instantly annoyed Jennifer!

"Did I gain weight?!" she gritted through clenched teeth.

"Hmm… no, actually, you seem to have gotten even more fit."

Mavi's survival instincts were strong.

These two mischievous lovers often bantered like this in their text messages.

"Hmph, at least you know how to talk!" Jennifer huffed but quickly let it go—her mood shifting faster than the weather.

"Of course! And besides talking, I also have a gift for you."

As he spoke, Mavi gestured for Jennifer to get back into her Aston Martin. He had a destination in mind.

"A gift? What kind of gift?" Jennifer was curious. As the daughter of a wealthy family, she was never short on gifts—whatever she wanted, she got.

"You'll see when we get there."

With that, Mavi got into Jennifer's Aston Martin and took the wheel, driving them away from the airport.

---

Unlike previous visits to the U.S., Mavi didn't bring his car fleet this time. He was only here for a short business trip.

Driving the sports car, Mavi took Jennifer to a place called "Bombardier Washington Branch."

The site featured massive modern warehouses and runways for aircraft takeoffs and landings.

"Bombardier? Wait… are you buying a private jet?" Jennifer asked, genuinely surprised.

She knew all about Bombardier, a brand that was on par with Gulfstream Aerospace in the luxury jet market.

Even her father had recently been talking about upgrading from his Gulfstream V to a Bombardier Global Express XRS but ultimately decided against it due to the cost. His Gulfstream V was still relatively new, and it felt like a waste to replace it so soon.

The Global Express XRS was renowned for its spacious, private, and luxurious cabin, accommodating 8 to 19 passengers—the roomiest in its class.

As Bombardier's flagship model, it had a maximum cruising altitude of 15,545 meters, where air turbulence was minimal, ensuring a smooth ride. Its top cruising speed was Mach 0.89, and it could fly over 10,000 kilometers non-stop.

"Yep! Why not buy one?" Mavi grinned and winked at Jennifer.

Now that he had money, he could afford to splurge!
