Chapter 19 - Chapter 19 Photos

"Roar!!!!"

It wasn't until the headless corpse fell stiffly to the ground and twitched a few times that the axe-wielding Serial killer reacted, letting out an enraged roar and looking in the direction of the gunshots.

However, he saw a priest in divine robes, whose robust physique seemed not much weaker than his own, solid and powerful.

He also saw a shotgun in the priest's hand, its pump already racked.

Before he could tear this hateful human to shreds and devour him, the next second, with a bang! He lost consciousness!

The headless corpse, just like the first Serial killer, also fell stiffly to the ground, its axe slipping from its hand and clattering to the floor.

After blasting two Serial killers in a row, York calmly racked the pump again. To be honest, he felt a bit like he was bullying them, but he also found it satisfying. After all, as a priest, he had never had the chance to blast carbon-based lifeforms like this before—one shot, one exploded watermelon... To put it simply, this shotgun was simply too effective, far better than any useless crucifix...

Just as he thought this, York quickly reined in his increasingly uninhibited thoughts and looked towards the door of The Cabin in the Woods.

According to Jessie, she had seen a total of four Serial killers: the two at the door plus the two dead by the car. That made four in total now, but he couldn't let his guard down completely.

However, the two Serial killers that had rushed out of The Cabin in the Woods were now completely still.

"That's it?"

York licked his lips, still wanting more, and gestured to Jessie, who was hiding behind him, to stay put. He slowly walked over, one step, two steps, three steps.

As he got closer, York's eyes narrowed slightly. He heard intense chewing sounds, and a scene inexplicably formed in his mind: a Serial killer inside, feasting away... "What's going on? Is it rushing to eat?"

York simply quickened his pace, ignoring the grime on the ground and pressing himself against the doorframe of The Cabin in the Woods. He slowly leaned in, his vision gradually expanding, and the scene inside made him frown.

In the center was a large dining table, laden with food that would make anyone vomit, such as arms and thighs. Seated at the center of the table was a Serial killer with an equally grotesque face, devoid of any discernible features.

She was female... The female Serial killer, completely oblivious to the commotion that had just occurred, was only focused on gnawing at a still-bleeding thigh on the table. York didn't know who the owner of this thigh was, but he felt a wave of nausea.

"Congratulations, you've made me think of something disgusting."

York stepped directly into the doorway, his gun pointed straight at the female Serial killer, who remained unresponsive and continued to eat. He pulled the trigger and fired a shot.

Bang!!!!!

The shotgun slug slammed into the female Serial killer's chest, blasting a large hole and sending flesh flying.

Yet she continued to eat... Click!!!!

York, expressionless, clicked and pulled the trigger again.

Bang!!!!!!

This time, the female Serial killer's entire upper body, including her neck, exploded, and only then did she stop eating.

Click!

After firing two shots in a row, York retreated several steps and took a deep breath, but all he smelled was blood. He quickly spat several times until the blood mist in the room dissipated, then he called out to Jessie.

"Come out, it's over."

Yes, it was over. When the female Serial killer died, York had already heard the sound of the mission succeeding, which let him know that he had completely eliminated the Serial killers. Otherwise, he wouldn't have retreated several steps to wait for the blood mist inside to clear.

In the past, York might have felt satisfied getting three points. Now, after deducting the two points of magic he used, he only got one point, and he felt like he had suffered a huge loss, as if he had lost his capital.

So when Jessie cautiously walked out, York's eyes were blazing with a burning fire. He had to earn back his capital; he absolutely had to make a killing.

"Fa... Father, you finished it all by yourself?" Jessie looked at the two headless corpses on the ground, her eyes filled with the satisfaction of revenge. From the clothing on these two headless bodies, she knew that these were the demons who had killed her friends.

"Mm."

York nodded in response and began to enter The Cabin in the Woods, the Serial killer's lair.

Bang bang bang bang!!!!

Just then, gunshots rang out behind him. York looked back and saw that Jessie was firing several shots at the already still corpses, even crying while she fired... York shook his head and continued to examine the layout inside The Cabin in the Woods, summarizing it with just two words: "Disgusting."

The dining table, stained with grime and God knows how long since it was last cleaned, was covered in blood and dismembered limbs, whose origin was obvious.

Besides that, the kitchen on the other side was equally splattered with blood. A large barrel floated with suspicious meat, and next to it were boning knives, drills, and sharp hooks. A little further, a dirty sink held some disgusting intestines, with eyeballs faintly visible... York pursed his lips and walked to the adjacent room. His purpose in coming in was not to see these disgusting things, but to investigate the origin of these deformed people.

The system was capricious; its missions and rewards were all bizarre. But no matter what, even personally investigating the source of things would occasionally yield some rewards, just like the previous Blessing of the Undead.

Arriving at the small room next door, the layout here was equally dirty, but much better than the living room outside. There were no messy limbs, but a large bag placed in the right-hand corner caught his attention because it was sparkling with gold inside.

These, it seemed, were all the victims' ornaments and watches, collected by the Serial killer.

"These Serial killers even know what's valuable?" York glanced at it, not rushing to pick it up. Instead, he saw some photos on the dressing table on the other side.

Walking over, the subjects of the photos were indeed Serial killers, one after another, and they even knew how to grin. Finally, York's gaze stopped on a family portrait.

If it weren't for the previous events, York would have found the atmosphere presented in this photo very warm.

Sitting in the middle were an old couple with smiling faces, while the Serial killers stood obediently in the back row, grinning at the camera.

From this, York knew that the relationship between this old couple and the Serial killers was unusual.

What was important was that this elderly couple looked like normal people, with intelligent light in their eyes...
