Kalibak was driven into a frenzy.

His sanity was directly demolished by a few sentences from Homelander.

He let out a mad roar, kicking his legs hard against the ground, instantly causing it to collapse into a massive, deep crater.

Kalibak swung the heavy beta club in a wide arc through the air, bringing with it a piercing whistle that tore through the atmosphere as he smashed it down with all his might toward Homelander's head!

CLANG----!!!

A visible Impact rippled out wildly from Homelander's head as the center; Parademons nearby had their internal organs instantly shattered by the shockwave.

Regrettably, Homelander's head didn't even tilt a fraction.

He lifted his eyelids, looking at Kalibak's face, which was contorted hideously from overexertion.

"Use a bit more strength, I'm doing fine," Homelander said with a flat smile.

Kalibak couldn't believe it. He raised the club again and, aiming at Homelander's punchable face, swung it with one hundred and twenty percent of his power!

"Die! Reptile!!"

BANG----!!!

The beta club slammed solidly into the side of Homelander's face, the immense force causing visible shockwaves in the surrounding air.

"Is this all you've got?"

Homelander still had his hands behind his back, looking disappointedly at the close-range, utterly incredulous Kalibak.

"It seems those baboon genes didn't bring you any substantial enhancement. Or... did you not eat a banana today? Low blood sugar?"

"Aaaaaah----!!"

"Die!! Die!! Die!!"

Kalibak had completely lost his mind, his eyes bloodshot, looking like a crazed demon.

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!

A storm-like barrage of blows fell on Homelander's shoulders, chest, and head. Every strike erupted with a terrifying shockwave.

Homelander neither dodged nor avoided them, letting him strike as he pleased. He just stood there, continuing his mental assault with words.

"That swing was too soft. Are you giving me a shoulder massage?"

"No wonder Darkseid never takes you along when he goes to war, but leaves you here instead. Taking you out would just be an embarrassment!"

"Seriously, Kalibak. If you went to a zoo on Earth to perform acrobatics, you might actually earn some banana money."

"Aaaaaah----!! Shut up!! Shut up!! DIE----!!"

Kalibak no longer cared about the surroundings, nor did he care about containing his energy.

He poured all the power in his body into the weapon, each swing stirring up a terrifying energy storm.

The Parademon army that had flown up to help suffered a stroke of terrible luck.

The aftershocks generated by Kalibak wielding the club ground them all into meat paste.

Circle after circle of destructive storms expanded outward with the two of them at the center.

"Yes, yes, yes! Just like that! Be a bit more violent!!"

Homelander looked at the energy storage bar on the system panel, which had finally begun to crawl upward slowly (0.1%... 0.2%...), feeling a bit of comfort at last.

Though it was still outrageously slow, it was better than nothing.

"Continue! Baboon! Don't stop! Let me see just how much potential that crossbred lineage of yours has!"

An unprecedented and peculiar sight played out in the skies of Apokolips.

The Son of God, Kalibak, was like a mad blacksmith, while Homelander was that piece of steel that could never be broken.

While taking a beating, he was outputting the most vicious language in the entire Universe.

...

Just as the battlefield on Apokolips fell into this absurd situation...

In the distant depths of the Universe, within the super-dimensional channel connecting Apokolips and Earth.

Darkseid sat upright on the black throne of his flagship.

His hands were crossed over his chest, and his eyes were slightly closed, like a lifeless stone statue.

Suddenly, his right eyelid twitched slightly.

Darkseid then opened his eyes, a hint of doubt flashing through them.

Relying on the Dark Divinity connected to Apokolips, he faintly sensed its distant fluctuations.

However, this strange fluctuation was minuscule, like a tiny ripple on the surface of a vast lake.

Darkseid closed his eyes slightly to sense it.

The Energy Anchors of the Dark Fortress were still stable, with no signs of being destroyed or weakened.

However, as a ruler, he needed to know what problem had arisen in his territory.

"Desaad." Darkseid's majestic voice echoed through the empty bridge.

"Great Master, I am here." Desaad immediately stepped forward, bowing respectfully.

"Contact Apokolips and ask what has happened there."

"As you command, Master."

Desaad immediately walked to the command console and skillfully operated the communication terminal.

A moment later, the connection was established.

"Lord Desaad, Kanto 87 reporting to you." A holographic image of an Apokoliptian officer appeared on the screen.

"What has happened?" Desaad questioned.

"An unknown biological entity has invaded Apokolips," the officer dared not hide the truth. "Lord Kalibak has already led the First and Second Parademon Legions to suppress it."

"Foolish! Who gave him the authority to mobilize the legions without permission?" Desaad snorted coldly. "What is the status of the battle?"

"Please see for yourself."

The officer manipulated an Apokoliptian satellite to transmit the footage captured from the front lines to Desaad's terminal.

In the image, Kalibak was like a frenzied Beast, wielding his beta club and smashing it down like a storm against a red and blue figure.

Due to the obstruction of dust and energy tremors filling the sky...

In Desaad's view, the attacked invader was powerless to fight back, only able to stand in place like a sandbag, being frantically beaten one-sidedly by Kalibak.

"An overconfident bug."

A moment later, he turned around with a disdainful sneer on his face and reported to Darkseid:

"Great Darkseid, it has been confirmed."

"An unknown biological entity has intruded into the outer perimeter of the Dark Fortress."

"But please rest assured, Lord Kalibak has personally led the First and Second Legions to suppress it. The situation is completely under control."

To prove his words, Desaad projected the image from his terminal onto the large screen of the bridge.

"As you can see, Master. Lord Kalibak is conducting a one-sided execution of him."

"This reptile doesn't even have the room to fight back; he will soon be smashed into meat paste."

Darkseid glanced at it casually, his eyes devoid of any emotion.

Since it was just a bug that could be crushed at will, it wasn't worth his extra energy.

He nodded slightly and moved his gaze away from the screen.

In his view, as long as the anchors of the Dark Fortress were not substantially attacked, no matter how many slaves died on Apokolips or what riots occurred, it wasn't worth abandoning his upcoming itinerary to make a special trip back.

"Continue forward, everything as planned." Darkseid closed his eyes again. "Resolve the matter of Earth first. I want to see if the fellow who killed the son of krypton is worthy of becoming my servant."
