The demons all jumped on Panther at once.
"Panther" Eve roared.
She was already in her dragon form—a massive orange figure standing firm amid the chaos. Her scales burned like embers, heat rolling off her body and twisting the air around her. Her piercing amber eyes stayed locked on the battlefield, calm yet terrifying.
Suddenly, a large number of demons that had leaped toward Panther were blown away. Some were flung into the air, while others dissolved into dark smog before touching the ground.
Eve looked ahead, but Panther was gone.
Then she felt it.
A strong presence behind her.
She turned her massive head just in time to see a huge winged demon raising its axe to strike her. Eve blinked and the demon turned into smog.
That presence wasn't the demon's.
It was Panther's.
He stood behind her, sword in hand, dark energy dripping from the blade. Around him, countless demons lay sliced apart.
"Demon Sword Technique: Swifting Sword," Panther said.
He vanished.
In the next instant, he appeared again and again across the battlefield, slicing through demons faster than the eye could follow. Slashes flashed, bodies fell—but the demons kept coming endlessly.
Eve inhaled slowly. Flames gathered deep within her throat.
"Hell Fire."
A massive ball of fire formed in her mouth. With a thunderous roar, she unleashed it. The flames surged forward, devouring the demon horde and turning everything in their path to ash.
Panther suddenly stopped.
He planted his feet and concentrated all his mana into his sword. The air trembled violently around him.
"Demon Sword Technique: Divine Slash."
A gigantic wave of power burst forward. In a single moment, every remaining demon was beheaded. The shockwave passed through the battlefield, leaving only silence behind.
Then Lucy appeared.
She glanced at Eve, her gaze calm yet heavy, the pressure in the air telling her everything she needed to know.
"Amazing," Lucy said. "You two did well."
Panther lowered his sword.
"I forgot what father taught me for a moment… I'm sorry, Mom. But I remember now. I can become stronger.and i will"
Eve said . "That last technique was really strong."
Lucy shook her head.
"It was strong—but not concentrated enough. If you used that in the real world, your body would have failed. You would have choked blood. You still need training."
Her eyes returned to Eve.
"You did well, Eve. But never lose concentration. In a real battle, even one mistake can lead to death."
"Okay, Mom," Eve replied firmly. "I will keep that in mind".
Panther hesitated before speaking.
"Mom… why don't I have abilities like others? If I had one, I could become even stronger."
Lucy placed a hand on his head.
"Your father had no ability either. Yet he became king. His power was unmatched. Abilities are rare even among demons. We are not humans—we don't need abilities to grow stronger."
Panther nodded.
The realm cracked like shattered glass. The training space collapsed, and they returned to the real world.
"Don't worry, my son," Lucy said softly. "I know you'll become strong enough to bring peace to the three realms."
She glanced at Eve once more.
"And you too—strong enough to protect everything."
Lucy hugged them both.
Tears welled up in Panther's eyes. He wiped them away quickly and stood straight.
"Eve… let's go to the tree house, right?"
Lucy smiled.
"Not now. Only after lunch. I'll serve you both—go wash your hands."
----------
Luoice muttered in disbelief, his eyes fixed on the floating screen.
"It can even store food… what a relief."
Deep inside the cold dungeon, the air was thick with the stench of blood and iron.
Monsters lay scattered across the stone floor, their massive bodies unmoving—heads cleanly severed, rolling beside them. Frost clung to the walls, and silence ruled the corridors, broken only by Luoice's slow footsteps.
He took out the last piece of cake from the system storage and gulped it down in one bite, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.
"Only the boss room is left…"
He stared at the giant door for a moment.A faint pressure leaked from beyond it, enough to make the air feel heavier with every step closer.
"I'll clear it later."
Turning away from the sealed entrance, Luoice walked out of the dungeon, leaving behind the corpses, the silence, and the unopened door as if the dungeon itself was waiting for him to return.
