Dion reached Panther's house and immediately noticed them standing outside, talking to each other under the open sky.
A warm smile slowly spread across his face, easing the weight in his chest.
He stopped his cycle, got down, and waved slightly.
"Sorry… I didn't come yesterday."
Panther turned sharply, relief flashing across his eyes.
"We waited so long for you."
Dion scratched his head awkwardly, forcing a small laugh.
"My mom prepared a delicious meal only for me. How could I reject it when she made it just for me?"
Eve tilted her head, her voice calm and understanding.
"If that's the case, then it's okay. We're leaving the next day anyway."
Dion's smile froze for a moment.
"Oh gosh… so this is the last day we're together?"
He looked around instinctively.
"Where's Luoice?"
"He said he'd come in the morning," Panther replied. "But we haven't seen him yet."
Just then, a familiar figure appeared in the distance. Luoice rode his cycle slowly, shoulders slumped, movements heavy. He got down with visible effort, exhaustion written all over his face.
Dion frowned.
"You didn't sleep yesterday, did you?"
Panther asked, why are u so tired luoice, even ur hands are shaking.
Luoice dropped onto the couch like his body had finally given up.
"I wanted to sleep, but this screen sent me somewhere, saying I hadn't completed today's quests. I'm barely alive no,now its full of chaos"
Lucy came out smiling, holding a large plate stacked high with warm pancakes.
"Everyone, eat until you're full."
Dion chuckled weakly.
"My stomach's already full… but I'll accept it."
He picked one up and swallowed it in a single gulp.
Panther stared, stunned.
"That's fast for someone whose stomach is already full."
Everyone laughed.
"So… we're really going tomorrow," Luoice said, his voice quieter now.
Panther nodded slowly.
"Yeah. A new journey is starting."
"The number of blessed ones has crossed a hundred now," Dion added.
"More than a hundred?" Eve said, eyes widening with amazement.
"There are also people using their powers for their own benefit," Panther said.
"Yeah," Luoice agreed. "I saw one on the news. A guy who could turn invisible robbed a bank."
"But he got caught, right?" Panther asked.
"By the first blessed one—Kaiden."
"That guy is crazy strong," Dion said with awe. "His fire ability is insane."
Eve glanced at her hands silently.
"Your power is similar to his," Panther said encouragingly. "You could become just as cool."
"Yeah," Dion laughed. "Cooking everyone with fire."
Panther laughed. "Perfect use."
"I hope I'll get an amazing ability too," panther said
"Maybe you already have one," Eve replied.
"Yeah," Dion added quickly. "All blessed ones have powers. You must have one too."
"Maybe psychokinesis," Louice suggested. "Try moving that stone."
Panther stretched his hand toward a nearby rock.
Nothing happened.
"Nope," Dion said. "Then maybe teleportation. Try opening a portal."
*Portal to the treehouse, Panther thought desperately.
Nothing.
"Maybe healing?" Eve suggested.
"That could be it," Dion said. "But how do we check?"
Luoice smirked faintly.
"I have an idea. Eve give him a hit."
Panther stepped back.
"I don't think that's a good idea."
"Let's check," Dion said seriously. "You're going to be a hero, right? Take it."
Eve walked closer, expression steady.
"It's going to hurt a little."
*Smack.*
"NO—!" Panther screamed.
Silence followed.
Everyone understood at the same moment.
"…No ability," Luoice said quietly. "Maybe it'll awaken later."
Eve handed Panther a towel.
"Here."
He wiped the blood slowly, eyes lowered
"Hey Dion," Panther asked, "don't you have school today?"
"This is our last day together," Dion said with a small, genuine smile. "How could I go?"
"It's already noon," Luoice said The system is senting so many missions. "I've to finish it now. Or else i would die real. I should leave, bye guys"
Dion's phone rang. He glanced at the screen and immediately turned it off.It was his father.
"I think I'm busy too."
"Alright,See you in the evening at the treehouse."Panther said a little confused.
"Bye," Luoice and Dion said together as they walked away.
Panther stood there and wiped the blood from his face.He looked eve
She didn't look at him.
Lucy stepped out, her tone gentle.
"Did Luoice and Dion leave, kiddos?"
"Yeah," Panther replied. "They had work."
"Oh," Lucy smiled softly. "I wanted to prepare a meal for everyone. But it's fine—I'll get another chance."
Her eyes sharpened with quiet determination.
"You're going tomorrow, right?"
"Then how about a little training?"
Panther glanced at Eve.
"Yeah. I'm ready."
"Where will we train, Mom?" Eve asked.
"Come inside."
Confused but trusting, Panther and Eve followed her.Now sit and hold my hands
They did, sitting together in a triangle.
"Close your eyes," Lucy said calmly.
"…Now open them."They felt something suddenly
When they opened their eyes, the world had changed.
They stood on a wide, flat ground that looked completely normal solid earth stretching in every direction. There were no buildings, no trees, not even a sound.
Only when Panther looked up did he notice it.
There was no sky.
Just darkness above them, endless and empty, as if the world simply stopped there.
"Mom… where are we?" Panther whispered, amazed. "This is so cool."
Eve's eyes widened with curiosity.
"Is this teleportation?"
Lucy shook her head gently.
"This isn't teleportation. Only your souls are here. Your bodies are safe."
"You can train here as much as you want."This is a space created by me" she said
Panther's eyes glowed. *What a cool ability…*
Eve's expression softened, sadness creeping in.
"I thought I could meet my parents," she said quietly. "I really wanted to see them."
"The portal closed, right?" Lucy said softly.
"That means the owner either closed it… or died."
"Maybe the dragons won," Panther said. "Crying won't change anything. We can only do what we can now."
Eve wiped her tears and nodded.
"You're right. Sorry… I just…"
Suddenly, demons appeared all around them.
"Uh… what's this?" Panther asked.
"Your toys," Lucy replied calmly.
"I want to see you two fight."
She tossed Panther a sword.
"Oh, cool wait, what do I even do with—"
The demons charged.
Lucy vanished.
Eve transformed into her dragon form, scales gleaming.
Fire erupted, flooding the battlefield. Demons burned and dissolved into smoke. One leapt onto Panther, biting into him.
More demons swarmed.
Eve didn't have time to help.
Dozens—then hundreds—piled onto Panther.
He collapsed.
"Panther!" Eve screamed.
She slammed demons away with her tail, unleashed another fireball, and flew toward him.
"Panther—!"
