Chapter 8 - Garp’s Shock! A Talent Born to Rule!

"Wh—!"

The Long-Tusk Giant Elephant continued to whimper weakly, its cries filled with terror.

The giant turtle trembled violently, carrying Koby and Helmeppo on its back and making them feel as if the entire world was shaking beneath them.

Koby never would have believed it—

These two terrifying monsters were actually afraid.

"Why…?"

"What just happened?!"

Koby's face was pale, his voice shaking.

It was too bizarre.

He couldn't understand it.

Nothing had struck the monsters.

And yet it was as if an unseen force had invaded their bodies and seized control of their very souls.

Boom! Boom!

The two monsters staggered again, shaking the earth with each step.

They looked on the verge of collapsing unconscious.

"They're really going to fall…?"

"Someone tell me what's happening!"

Koby stared in horror at the incomprehensible scene.

At the same time—

With Raifeng as the center, a circular area spanning several thousand meters…

All living beings—

Birds, wolves, tigers, rabbits, and countless other animals living within the forest—

Were all engulfed by that terrifying pressure.

In that single instant—

Every single one of them made the same instinctive reaction.

Thud! Thud!

One after another, animals rolled their eyes back, foam spilling from their mouths as they lost consciousness and collapsed.

Not one exception.

Hundreds—thousands—of creatures fell to the ground, unmoving.

A horrifying scene unfolded across the forest.

As far as the eye could see, animal bodies littered the ground—some twitching, foam bubbling from their mouths.

Within several thousand meters—

Not a single beast remained standing.

The entire process took less than one second.

They had all fallen at the exact same time.

From the shadows—

Garp's forward charge came to an abrupt halt.

His body stiffened.

He stood frozen, like a statue.

Every joint felt locked.

His eyes were fixed on the battlefield ahead.

Just moments ago—

It had been a life-and-death situation.

Now—

It was eerily calm.

The Long-Tusk Giant Elephant's trunk remained frozen in midair, as if bound by an invisible force.

The elephant and the turtle trembled violently, fear pouring from their massive eyes.

Everything pointed to a single, terrifying truth—

One that even Garp found hard to accept.

"…I didn't imagine that, did I?"

Garp swallowed, his throat dry.

His gaze shifted.

Past the trembling monsters.

Past the stunned Koby and Helmeppo.

And finally—

It settled on the young figure standing at the center of the battlefield.

Amid this bizarre, oppressive environment—

That small, youthful silhouette stood out with overwhelming presence.

"T-That just now…"

Garp stammered.

He wanted to believe—

That it was an illusion.

But reality screamed otherwise.

Two monstrous beasts had been suppressed in an instant.

No visible attack.

No physical blow.

Yet terror had completely overtaken them.

"They're afraid…"

"And more than that—"

"In that instant, every animal within several thousand meters collapsed."

"All of this proves it."

"My senses weren't lying."

Using his Observation Haki, Garp had perceived it clearly.

That moment—

Every living creature in the area had lost consciousness simultaneously.

And more importantly—

Garp himself had felt it.

That pressure.

That wave.

That unmistakable presence.

There was no need for a second guess.

The truth was undeniable.

"…Conqueror's Haki."

"That was Conqueror's Haki."

"The power said to mark one in a million—"

"The aura of a king."

"So it really is… an inborn talent?"

Garp took a deep breath, forcibly suppressing the storm in his heart.

His eyes never left the child standing between the two monsters.

"Raifeng…"

"That brat…"

"He actually awakened Conqueror's Haki?!"

"This is… beyond imagination."

"…Unbelievable."
