Chapter 32 - Directionless.

When Ken and Han Sooyoung were talking to each other like they always do, and for some reason, multiple notifications just could not stop popping up.

[Han Sooyoung has used the skill, Lie detection (lvl 2).]

[Poker face (lvl 2) has nullified the effects of Lie detection (lvl 2).]

[Kennedy has used the skill, Lie detection (lvl 3).]

[Poker face (lvl 1) fails to nullify the effects of Lie detection (lvl 3).]

[The words of Han Sooyoung are partially true.]

No matter how much they talked. Even if they were much closer to each other than most other people around them, they still wouldn't stop using lie detection against each other, at all.

After realizing Ken has the skill too, Han Sooyoung, out of spite, bought the poker face. Although, she later regretted it, since it cost way too much… I mean, only twenty thousand coins.

As they were still talking to each other, they suddenly heard a loud thunderstrike, which came from the direction of Dokja and Sangah.

As they ran there as fast as possible, Ken was the first to arrive. As he saw Dokja looking at the sky, he did the same.

What he saw was a giant lump of mass with multiple tentacles of sorts. Its appearance was blurry, almost like something was blocking him from seeing the full thing. Sparks of lightning surrounding it.

And just as he looked at it, which was coming through a portal of sorts from the sky. Ken's entire body froze in place. He felt hazy, and his entire body started to sweat uncontrollably. Even his breathing completely stopped. His instincts were telling him. 'It's dangerous. Way more dangerous than I expected.'

It was an outer god. But luckily for them, just as it was coming out of the portal, it was also forced back in the portal.

Ken hadn't noticed it at first, but blood also had started to come out of his nose and eyes. Which gave him a more clear idea as to how dangerous the use of probability can be.

He realized this only after the outer god was gone, as he fell on his back, he felt like his entire nervous system was on fire.

Han Sooyoung had already reached the place, and when he looked at Dokja, he was also sweating a lot. But the fourth wall must have protected him from the things Ken faced.

 —***—

In the following two days. All four of them were simply going around, doing their thing, and planning for the catastrophe of the center.

Joonghyuk was supposed to take care of the west, the king of wanderers, the north. All they had left was the center.

During these two days, Ken also found a steel wire near a construction site, it was pretty flexible and strong. Which is why he decided to finally put the thread manipulation in use.

It felt like touching sandpapers. According to Sangah, these are called diamond saws or something like that, and are used to cut stone slabs, concrete, etc. Ken knew Sangah is really knowledgeable, but he didn't expect her to know these things too.

Though, Sangah was really surprised at first, seeing his thread manipulation, which was pretty similar to the stigma she has. Just that, hers is strong, better, can create wires from scratch, and literally a freaking stigma, not a skill.

Ken also did many other things, and some of his skills levels also upgraded really fast thanks to all the fights and the growth packs.

But, the new thing Ken gained was heat resistance. If upgraded enough, it can also resist fire. And how did he get that? By literally burning himself. Not entirely, but definitely his arms.

There are a lot of things he did. Right now, he can only get messages from constellations simply because he is hanging out with these three. If not, there would be no channels near him, and no constellation can watch him.

He didn't know why, but he felt pretty good after those three came back. Surprisingly, they had a nebula called the three idiots. There is a movie named that, but Ken doesn't remember the details of the movie since it's been a long time.

Back to the channel problem. Since if he somehow has to get away from the group for a while, he wouldn't get monitored, no constellations would be there, specifically those three. Which is why he somehow arranged a meeting with Bihyung after talking with Dokja, and got into his channel.

With a contract, that is. Bihyung didn't at all mind taking him in, since Ken caused quite a stir among many constellations after that fight with Ilsang.

All the contract stated was:

1: Ken has to buy things from Bihyung's dokkaebi bag, with the same thing. 100 coins more than normal for everything.

2: Ken can get the full coins sponsored by the constellations. Bihyung will only take the price the constellations pay in order to sponsor coins.

3: Bihyung will leave Ken pretty much alone. And Ken will not do things that can cause trouble for Bihyung… actually, it is more like, things that can cause too much trouble. Since, Ken has already kind of proven that he causes troubles from his past actions.

4: Bihyung will support Ken with putting up things for auction, only if the things put up are considered good enough, by Bihyung. Bihyung will take ten percent of profit, if it is traded for coins.

5: Biyung will not charge Ken the channel fees. Instead, Ken will take any type of bounty scenarios given by the constellations. If Ken doesn't take them, he will be charged 500 coins.

The contract was pretty decent in Ken's opinion. He can use a dokkaebi bag, pretty much like before. Using hundred coins more, made Bihyung more lenient with some other things.

Bihyung can help with the advertisement of whatever he puts out. Though, only if they are good things. And exempt for channel fees are actually good. And constellations don't give bounty scenarios much anyway. He still doesn't understand why Bihyung added it like that.

Ken didn't care much. Since he had a lot of coins left. He thought of upgrading his dokkaebi bag Membership to platinum… and he kind of regretted it. It cost 100,000 coins.

Ken even changed his clothes. Since the old one was too beat up anyway. And now, there's only five days left until the fifth main scenario starts.

But… 'This shit is boring as hell.'

According to Ken, everything was boring. He always wondered if the readers would read things about this. Since if readers were to read about all these, he thinks even they will be bored about this.

And now, they had planned to cross the Han river for a few reasons. First, and more obvious. To reach the center. Second, if they can find Pildu, they will take him. Since he went missing by the Han river.

But, the problem was… "How come there is not a single bridge intact?"

Dokja even thought about crossing the river by swimming, which he accidentally blurted out. But that wouldn't work, since there are just way too many Ichthyosaurs.

Which is why they started to make another plan. But just as when Dokja tried to ask Ken about something. He could not find him.

And when Sangah pointed towards a direction. Dokja saw that Ken was already swimming in the river, thinking it was Dokja's final plan.

"... Looks like he will actually make it at this rate." Said Han Sooyoung.

She said again. "He didn't even have to fight an Ichthyosaur–"

And just as he said that, a giant Ichyusaor jumped out of the water. Gulping Ken down along with the water.
