The wet-skin monster attacked again. It was so swift that all I could see were skinny hands and a bloated body. It wasn't looking to kill me but to push me into the attack of the snow spider.
I covered my sword in aura, and when I saw the monster flicker toward me like a shadow, I executed a technique that made the space around me choke full of aura. The moment the monster entered it, all the aura turned into blade beams and blasted it away.
Without even looking back to see if the monster was dead, I leaped and focused on the joint. All the damage I had been doing led to this single attack. It was like strategically weakening part of a building to create a deliberate weakness for controlled collapse.
I brought my sword down with brutal force, and once it bit in, I released the aura I was holding—and bam! The joint exploded, throwing rotting meat into the air.
