Chapter 11 - CHAPTER 11 Between two worlds

(Sarina's POV)

Something felt wrong the moment I woke up.

Leo and Clara were missing.

At first, I thought maybe they were joking. Maybe they went somewhere without telling us. But when their families started calling everyone, panic spread everywhere.

"I texted them last night," I said quietly. "They replied."

But now… they were gone.

My chest felt tight.

Then something strange happened.

A small white cat walked toward me. No one else seemed surprised, but I knew this was not normal. The cat looked straight into my eyes.

Then it spoke.

Not in human language. In my language.

"Your friends are in danger," it said. "Monsters took them. They are under control."

My heart started beating fast.

I didn't wait.

Light surrounded my body, and I transformed into Lumina. My hair glowed. My eyes shone bright. Power moved through my veins like fire and light together.

Everyone stepped back.

"Track their location," I told Luna, Jordan, Ethan, and Lukas. "Now."

A soft glow left my hands and spread in the air. That power helps me read energy and connect to minds. It shows me where danger is.

They all bowed.

"Master Lumina."

There was no time to feel embarrassed.

Lukas grabbed my hand and we teleported.

We arrived in a dark area outside the city. The air felt heavy. Cold.

Then the monsters appeared.

Leo and Clara were standing there… but their eyes were empty. Controlled.

Rage filled me.

"Let them go!" I shouted.

The fight started immediately.

Energy blasts. Dark smoke. Crashing sounds.

I used light waves to push them back. Lukas attacked from the side. We were winning.

Then one monster smiled.

He pulled out a strange metal device.

He pressed a button.

Suddenly—

Pain.

It felt like something was pulling my power out of me. My chest burned. My legs felt weak.

I fell to one knee.

The device was stealing my power.

"No…" I whispered.

My vision blurred.

Lukas saw what was happening. He attacked the monster and broke the device into pieces. The machine exploded in sparks.

But the damage was already done.

My power felt broken inside.

Before everything went dark, I forced myself to speak.

"Grab… the pieces… of that device…"

Then I fainted.

When I woke up, I was at home.

My body felt heavy. Weak. Empty.

Aria and Evan were near me. Luna looked scared.

"The device damaged your power core," Aria said softly.

Power core.

That means the center of my strength.

Aria suddenly remembered something and ran to the storeroom. She came back with an old, thick book.

The Guardian Book.

It holds knowledge about powers, masters, guardians, and ancient secrets.

When she opened it, the pages turned by themselves.

Then the book spoke.

"She must go to her biological parents," it said. "Only they can stabilize her core."

The room became silent.

I closed my eyes.

"Yes," I said softly. "They are my real parents."

Everyone looked shocked. I never told them before.

"I was sent away when I was young," I explained. "For protection."

The book continued.

"She has three hours before the damage becomes worse."

Three hours.

My hands started shaking.

"I have to go to London," I said.

The ride to the airport felt too fast.

My biological parents were in London. But there was something more.

In London… there were also my Guardian parents.

They are different.

My biological parents gave me life.

My Guardian parents trained me. Protected my powers. Watched from the shadows.

Only they understand Lumina completely.

At the airport, a private blue jet was waiting.

It belonged to my family.

The color was deep blue, like the sky at night.

Before boarding, I looked at my friends.

Luna hugged me tightly. "Come back," she whispered.

Lukas looked at me quietly. "We'll wait."

I tried to smile.

"I'll return in three months," I said.

But inside, I was scared.

What if my power doesn't heal?

What if the enemy comes again?

What if I lose control?

As the jet took off, I looked down at the city.

I wasn't just going to London.

I was going back to the truth.

And maybe…

To a bigger destiny.
