Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: Boiled Alive

Raeven stayed the night at Shakky's Bar; he slept in the guest room, which is beside the staff room, and all of Shakky's staff are women, Kuja Pirates, or skilled individuals from Amazon Lily. That night Raeven tightly locked his doors.

Fortunately nothing happened, and when he woke up in the morning, the saplings were already there. Raeven stored the saplings on his storage belt, and he ate breakfast first. When he was about to leave, Shakky told him that she recently received a rumor about the Float fruit. Raeven quickly said that those rumors are all lies, as he already got the fruit, which surprised Shakky.

After that, Raeven bid farewell to Shakky. As for Rayleigh, Raeven didn't wait for him; that man is like Mihawk—he will only go home when he wants.

4 days later Raeven finally returned to Sixis Island. He bought a lot of souvenirs for everyone: clothes, food, and cosmetics for the girls, and for the boys, he bought a lot of food and clothes too. He even bought Ace an orange hat, and he gave Enel a black bandana.

After the gift-giving, Mihawk approached Raeven and gave a newspaper to him; the headline of it is about Kaido successfully conquering the Wano Country and declaring it as his base of operation.

The former 2nd Division Captain of the Whitebeard Pirates died; he was boiled alive while trying to save his men. It was touching, and at the same time, Oden was too naive; he trusted Orochi too much. In the end, he died, his wife died, the people who put faith in him died, and the whole Wano Country fell apart because of him.

"They are waiting for Whitebeard to move, but I heard it's unlikely for him to wage war with Kaido," Mihawk said.

"He won't go; this is what Oden wants. If he really needed some help, he should have told them before; he's too naive," Raeven said.

"Also, a mail came from Gaban-san a few days before you arrived that said that he was currently staying at Elbaph, and he left his den den mushi number too," Mihawk added.

"How's your trip?" he asked as he sat down and took out a cooler from his storage ring, then he opened a bottle of beer and gave it to Raeven.

"I managed to buy 10 saplings, but the variant of Yurikiman Mangroves, The Sunlight Tree Eve, is super rare. Shakky-san said that it's not yet time for another tree like that to emerge," Raeven said as he drank his beer.

"Then are we going to plant them in the sea around the island?" Mihawk asked; he was super curious about this tree that can grow in the middle of the sea.

"Of course, the saplings of Yurikiman mangroves can float; they will only stay in place once they grow big enough to anchor themselves on the bottom of the sea, and with my specialized fertilizer, in just 5 years, we will have 10 groves around Sixis Island, and then we can name it Sixis Archipelago," Raeven said.

"That's great then; the girls will be happy once they see those bubbles coming out of the ground," Mihawk said.

"Also, Enel's mastery of Armament Haki got a huge boost while you were out; he even began to practice a new weapon," he added.

"A new weapon? What kind of weapon did he pick?" Raeven asked.

"He picked a Trident. I once said before that Borsalino, the light uncle from the Marines, can make laser swords using his devil fruit, and he became inspired by it," Mihawk said.

"A trident is good. Enel had a talent in using weapons like that. I'll talk to him later. Developing a devil fruit can be limitless; without wide knowledge and imagination, he might find it hard to progress," Raeven said.

"I told him that already, just like I said to Tritoma before, that without knowing and exploring her own power, her development will slow down; awakening a devil fruit is hard," Mihawk said.

"So what are your plans for the upcoming years?" Raeven asked.

"After I complete exploring the new world, I'll return here to challenge the Ninja Khans again; only they can sharpen me. Of the active swordsmen on the sea right now, only two people can make me go serious," Mihawk said, and he's not wrong. Those two are Marine Vice Admiral Kizaru and the other one is the Emperor candidate Red Hair Shanks.

After that the two brothers continued to drink; a little later, Enel joined them after he finished his training, and Stussy joined them when it started to go dark.

Raeven's return turned into a banquet as everyone on the island joined in; Monet and Robin even served their new hobby, which is making pastry, as the big 3 who love sweets, Raeven, Mihawk, and Enel, became the judges of their sweets.

"It's good, 5/10," Mihawk said, which surprised Stussy. To have Mihawk rate something that high, it might be really good, so she took a bite too, and it was delicious. The cake made out of milk chocolate and strawberry was perfect for her taste already.

"8/10. The only thing I'll rate 10 are the desserts made by Big Brother himself," Enel said.

"That's too much, Big Brother Enel; with Big Bro Raeven's skill, we won't be able to catch up with him at all," Monet said, and Robin just giggled.

"Well, it really tastes good; it's even delicious because you two made it for us. As for these two, don't mind them; they don't even know how to make bread," Raeven said, which made Enel and Mihawk blush.

"Come on, let's continue this party," he added as he cheered with everyone.

The next day Raeven woke up early to place the mangrove saplings around the sea nearby Sixis Island. As the current on the other side of the island is still the same, Raeven is not worried about them getting far away. After observing them for a few days and making sure the saplings won't float away, Raeven finally left them there. He told the Ninja Khans to fertilize them once every week.

August 9, 1504

Raeven and Enel are currently on a small electric-powered boat made by Stussy. Enel is powering the boat with his devil fruit power, and he quite likes it; he even said that he will request a flying ship from Stussy when she isn't busy.

The two of them are inspecting the saplings of the mangrove trees. Now the saplings are already 1 foot in height, and their roots now are quite big and long. The current of the island didn't move them an inch at all, so Raeven began to place them where he wants them.

He scattered them around the island; if his theory is correct, then after the mangrove trees grow as big as the trees at Saboady, placing land on them will be easy.

Or maybe the mangrove trees themselves will take the soil underwater to have an island around them? Raeven didn't know at all, so he planned to see what will happen.

Also, this year's most reported group is the Revolutionary Army. After liberating 2 affiliated kingdoms, the World Government and the Marines placed a large bounty on the group, and the kingdoms from the Marines and the Revolutionary Army began to clash on West Blue.

While Raeven is busy reading books about sky island climates, the den den mushi that the Marines gave to him rings, which surprises him.

"Hello, this is Lieutenant Bellmere of the East Blue marines requesting immediate backup here at Oykot Kingdom," a young female voice said, and at the same time on Sixis Island, Raeven and Mihawk stood and walked towards the port.

Raeven arrived there first, then Mihawk followed, already riding Strife. Even Enel is already on board. As Strife flew lower, Raeven stepped and boarded it too, and it flew fast towards the direction of Oykot Kingdom.

When the brother arrived there, the battle on the island was still raging. Pirates were attacking and killing every man on the island while they kidnapped women and babies.

"This kind of scum dares to do this on my turf; kill them all," Raeven said as he headed towards the last standing marine on the island.

Mihawk jumped and landed on the island beside him. Enel had already summoned his lightning trident, and Mihawk unsheathed the black blade Yoru, then he swung it at the pirates.

A loud shing sound followed as the island split into two while the pirates in the range of the attack became cubes. When the surviving pirates saw who attacked, their eyes became small in shock and fear.

"Hawk-Eyes and the Thunder Lord, we're done," a pirate said.

"Where's the captain and the officers? They said that they can deal with the Dracule family." Another pirate said. Then they heard sounds of footsteps mixed with something being dragged around the ground, and then they saw it: four dead bodies tied together while being dragged by the captain of their ship. Following him is Raeven, slowly walking towards the pirates.

As they neared where the pirates were, the pirate captain's head exploded like a balloon, and then his body fell down on the ground, making the pirates around them silent out of fear.

"Enel, burn them, the hard way," Raeven said, and Enel just nodded, and he pointed his trident downward.

"Lightning net," he said as lightning formed on his front like a spider web, electrocuting every pirate and paralyzing them instantly.

Bell-mere and Nojiko, together with the sleeping Nami, followed the sound of the pirates groaning, and they looked at it surprised. Bell-mere knows about Devil Fruits, but this is the first time she has seen a logia Devil Fruit user.

"Don't look at it; move. The next scene will be too much even for you, Miss Marine," Raeven said as he and Mihawk walked away. Bell-mere, holding Nojiko's hand while carrying Nami, quickly walked with them. Too soon they heard the agonizing screams of the pirates; it didn't take too long before the screams ended and the island became silent again.

With a spark of lightning, Enel arrived near them like nothing happened.

"Those scums are from the paradise, a slaver group," Mihawk said as he gave the wanted posters of the pirates to Raeven.

"The Marines on Lougetown are useless, letting pirates like this enter our turf," Raeven said, and then he took out the den den mushi the Marines gave them and dialed a number.

"This is Sengoku speaking," Sengoku said.

"Fleet Admiral Sengoku, this is Dracule Raeven. Send a rescue ship here to Oykot Kingdom. A squad of Marines here needs medical attention fast. The den den mushi you guys gave to me calls directly to you, so you are the only one I can call," Raeven said.

"What? Oykot Kingdom? Are there any survivors on the Marines' side?" Sengoku asked. Raeven gave the den den mushi to Bell-mere.

"Fleet Admiral Sengoku, this is Lieutenant Bell-mere. I'm the only one left in my squad who has the strength to stand right now; the rest need emergency treatment. Luckily, my distress call was heard by the Warlords Dracule Raeven and Dracule Mihawk; they dealt with the pirates who are raiding the island," Bell-mere said.

"It's good that you guys are still alive. Don't worry, I'll send a rescue there now," Sengoku said.

"Also Sengoku-san, tell your marines branch at Lougetown to stop slacking off; the pirates who raided this island came from Paradise. If we didn't make it on time, then all of the marines and the citizens of this island would be gone," Raeven said as he ended the call.

After 30 minutes a rescue ship arrived, then Raeven and the others left; their job here was done. Bell-mere, Nojiko, and Nami, who just woke up, looked at the flying cloud leaving the island.
