Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: If you get caught, face it head on!

Underground, beneath the highest peaks beneath the sky.

Zhongli can be seen lounging in his room, given to him by his most beloved venerable master.

It has only been a day since the conclusion of the event gathering.

Aside from chatting about random stuff after the introduction and get teased by that nosy Pyro dude, he didn't do much after that and just stayed in his room.

Now, he is back to the underground cave, taken by his master of course.

Surprisingly, there is a room for a humanoid figure.

It is even has decorations and stuff like that. The interior of the room also looks like it has been well polished, that you'll think it is not a cave.

'It must been a room Master had specifically prepared for her future disciple.'

Thinking of that, he felt very warm in his heart.

Such a caring master!

He silently vowed to himself that he will never disappoint his master.

What he didn't know is that, he, becoming her disciple was just on a whim, and that, the room he is using was actually his master's lounging area.

If he knew…

Zhongli shook his head aggressively, dispersing such thoughts out of his mind.

Silently taking out a book and quill from a nearby table cabinet, he wrote down what he knew about this world from his past life.

Jotting down notes based on his limited knowledge about the world of Genshin.

From its history and his known characters.

"Fuhh… That should be all."

He wiped his non-existent sweat as he finished writing.

Little it may be, information is still information.

He doesn't want to become a frog under the well.

Sure, ignorance is a bliss, but it also comes with its own costs.

Though, the real reason why he wrote down all of his current knowledge about Genshin is because his memories aren't that bright.

After putting back his notes in the cabinet, he silently get up, still pondering what to do.

Just as he was about to reach out to the door knob.

The door opened itself, revealing a beautiful woman, wearing a vivid brown color dress or qipao with golden scaled accent.

Zhongli stared at his master blankly, not knowing what to say at this moment.

Before he could even say anything, his master grabbed his hand and pulled him out of his room.

"Ahem. Master, where are we going?"

Zhongli decisively asked his master.

He was confused as to why his master suddenly barged in to his room.

The training would start tomorrow, so why did his master arrive now?

While such questions were still lingering on his mind, his master answered him with a monotonous tone.

"We are going to buy some necessity for you of course. I may not need them since I can just transform myself back to dragon form, you still need them."

Silence befell the long corridor of the cave as no one spoke anymore, only the occasional steps of the two echoed across the long cave.

The silence presided for a while as they walked alongside each other, before they take another path into the converging cave.

At the end of the long corridor, a weird floating device on a stone slab that glows blue can be seen at the end of the long corridor of the cave.

Curiosity loomed on his face.

It can be seen that he is deeply intrigued by the device.

So he ask his master, Ruòtuò, to quench his thirst for the answer.

"So master, what is that device?"

Ruòtuò looked at her disciple with a pensive gave, before passively answering with a neutral look on her face.

"It's a teleportation device. It can take you to another coordinate where another teleportation point is. But of course there is a take on this."

She paused for a moment as she touched the base of the teleportation device as it glowed slightly, before proceeding to explain it further.

"You must know exactly where the other point is."

Ruòtuò looked straight into Zhongli's golden eyes with a serious look.

Seeing this face on his master, Zhongli was forced to believe it.

Though, different thoughts were appearing on his head.

As silence continued to preside the area, a chuckle broke the silence.

It was Ruòtuò.

"Hahaha! I was just joking. It does not need the exact coordinates, well it is partially true though."

Ruòtuò exclaimed as a cherry smile blossomed on her delicate face.

Zhongli's heart skipped a beat for a little bit.

"Beautiful…"

Zhongli murmured softly, to which Ruòtuò immediately caught it.

"Huh, what? What did you say?"

"Nothing, I just said that Master is indeed very beautiful. More beautiful than the northern star in the wide sky. If I could, I would have already ask Master for a hand in marriage."

Zhongli said all of these with a soft smile across his face as he looked at his master with a tender look.

In his mind, if you get caught, just give it up and don't run. Instead face it head on!

As such, he did what is necessarily right!

Since he already got caught, what's the point in denying it?

Isn't it better to just be true to avoid such chaos?

'Ahh… yes. This is the true essence of Order.'

If the original Zhongli knew what this guys were thinking, who knows what his face would be right now…

"I- I see…"

Ruòtuò stuttered before taking off her gaze from her disciple. Her face flushed from embarrassment due to what her disciple said towards her, though her mouth curved a little bit.

Her heart is beating wildly right now, as if showing that she loves what she has heard.

'W-why is my heart beating so fast? It can't be! B-but…'

She lightly peeked at her disciple with her side eye to which Zhongli smiled lightly at her.

'I-I guess she it's fine… So… Should I accept- NOOO!! I CAN'T! Not only did we just met. He is also my disciple! If such things were to get out, I would definitely be labeled as an old cow eating young grass!'

Truly, a woman is indeed a one of a kind creature.

Before she's a dragon, a Dragon Sovereign, she's a woman, so of course such things were going to be quite lethal to her.

Yes, she's indeed a woman…

Woman…

Forget about her being an androgynous being, what's important is she is now a female!

Zhongli nodded slightly.

How cute!

Suddenly, Ruòtuò, who managed to compose herself, lightly coughed as to gain the guy's attention.

"Cough! Cough! Anyways, as I was saying. You do not need to pour in your energy and a holographic map which contains the location of each points to teleport. Even the underground."

"I see. Thanks for the explanation, Master!

Zhongli smiled again as he thank his master, before he screamed in his mind.

'Wait wait, what!?! Holographic you say!? Isn't this like the early days of the world? So how!?'

Nevertheless, he just stood still and looked at his master.

A holographic map appeared at the teleportation device.

Ruòtuò zoomed in the map, as she pressed a certain coordinate at the holographic map, before she grabbed Zhongli's arm again.

Zhongli couldn't react on the slightest as they immediately disappeared from the sight.

Opening his eyes, Zhongli couldn't help but marvel at the sight.

Although it was quite far away, he could see a huge city near the coastal area.

Though he frowned suddenly, he is itching for an answer.

"Master, how many continents are there?"

Ruòtuò was caught off guard by the sudden question.

It was so random that she didn't know what to say.

Still, she answered her disciple's question with a serene look.

"There should be around seven to eight continents, why?"

Zhongli's face hardened more at his master's answer.

Now he was wondering.

Why is there only one continent in Genshin?

According to his friend's explanation or… chatter, Genshin only has one continent, Teyvat.

While there is indeed seven nations whereas each nation signifies one element or rather, its ruler…

Only continent prevails in Genshin, it is Teyvat.

So what really happened to this world?

Would a catastrophic event happen in the near future?

Zhongli shudder at the mere thought.

He might be a god right now, but that doesn't mean he is omnipotent.

No, he is further from being like that.

Almost all people living in this era has more or less the same strength as him.

So if that catastrophic event really happens…

"Sigh… I see…"

Zhongli's frowning face crumbled, replacing it with a wry smile.

"Let's go master, let's buy some things first."

Ruòtuò just silently nodded.

In her mind, she is wondering whether her disciple finally caught on the big waves that is approaching very fast.

Gazing at the wide sky, variety of thoughts echoed in her mind.

'Hmm… I should train this fellow early on. I'm sure, this is not just mere coincidence. I, finding him, is definitely a work of higher force.

The nagging feeling I've been receiving this fast few days, as if a volcano is about to erupt… and finding him after that… yeah, a big wave that will swept the earth id definitely fast approaching.'

The two continued to walk towards the harbor.

One still lost in her thoughts, while one left all such thoughts.

Though one thing is for sure, they are both silently thinking of ways to handle the future…

Meanwhile, on the other side of the planet.

The Dragon King, still in his human form, was ready to depart, when suddenly…

A silhouette appeared in front of him.

Clad in cosmic energy, blurring the figure which only led to the person being seen as only a figure.

"Hello."

A soft voice of a woman echoed across the place.

Nibelung frowned at the sight of the unknown person in front of him.

"Who are you? And what do you want?"

Nibelung's instinct didn't kicked in, meaning, this fellow must not be after him.

"Ruler of this land, let's cut to the chase. I have something very important to say."

Nibelung remained vigilant, after all, this fellow suddenly appeared in front of him, without any warning.

She still haven't even introduced herself.

Still, he decided to hear her out.

"Go on."

"This land, is gonna be…"

...

Sorry for the wait and ahem, don't worry, I'll now update daily :)
