The next morning came too fast. It was the day of the coronation and the joining.

Clara and Tess pushed the doors open, followed by a few other maids carrying fresh towels. They walked into the room, bowing low before her.
"Good morning, Your Majesty," Clara said with a bright smile. "Congratulations on your great day."
Eliora let out a long breath and gave them a small smile. "Thank you," she whispered, the truth of becoming queen finally settling deep in her.
She stood up from the bed and the maids worked quickly.
They bathed her in warm water scented with flowers, then dressed her in a robe while they waited for the seers to bring the sacred gown.
