Where is Lee Jordan?
Fred and George arrived at the restaurant late for dinner.
"I fell pretty badly while practicing skating at the school clinic this afternoon, so I went to Mrs. Pomfrey's to get some medicine to apply." Albert swallowed the food he was chewing and looked up at the twins with a puzzled expression. "Where did you two go this afternoon? Why are you only coming to eat now?"
"In the woods," Fred winked at Albert.
"You guys actually ran away on your own." Lee Jordan's voice drifted from behind, his tone tinged with resentment.
"We told you before we left, why didn't you come with us?" George put his hand on Lee Jordan's shoulder and asked, "How's practice going? Can you skate now?"
"If I knew how to ice skate, would I have fallen so badly?" Lee Jordan said irritably.
"That's true, thankfully we gave up a long time ago." George nodded seriously. "That kind of sport is indeed not suitable for wizards."
Albert wanted to retort: "If you don't know how, and you're unwilling to put in the effort to learn, then of course you'll never learn."
Lee Jordan couldn't help but ask, "Was it like this when you were learning to ice skate?"
"Yes, falling down is inevitable," Albert said seriously.
"He's definitely trying to comfort you." George couldn't help but laugh. "With Albert's learning ability, he'll definitely learn how to skate after falling a few times at first."
"What do you think ice skating is, eating?" Albert said speechlessly.
Actually, George was right, except that Albert learned to skate through a screen.
"I'm starting to understand why Albert stopped teaching you," Fred suddenly said.
"They're not going to teach us," Lee Jordan corrected impatiently. "Don't exclude you guys."
"Think about it, you're falling so badly while learning to ice skate, and you still haven't learned how to skate. You'll definitely blame him in the end!" George nodded seriously. "That's why Albert doesn't dare to teach you, so you won't blame him."
Albert's hand, which had been holding the golden fried egg, froze in mid-air. He couldn't help but mutter to himself, "These two guys have really good imaginations."
He would swear on the half of a golden fried egg in his hand that he had never had such a thought.
Lee Jordan glanced at Albert suspiciously, who quickly coughed lightly and changed the subject, asking, "What fun things are there in the woods that made you take so long to come back?"
"There are only some animals; the woods aren't dangerous." Fred said, sitting in the empty seat next to him, picking up his dinner and eating. "George and I were chasing a rabbit, but we didn't catch it."
"There are rabbits in the Forbidden Forest?" Albert asked curiously. "By the way, what are you catching rabbits for? You're not going to roast them, are you? That sounds like a good idea; I've never had roasted rabbit before."
Upon hearing this, Shanna looked up and glared at Albert, scolding, "Roasted rabbit? How could you be so cruel?"
"I was just saying...don't take it to heart." Albert smirked and retorted, "Are you raising rabbits?"
"Yes, a very small rabbit," Shanna nodded in agreement.
"Ahem, haven't you guys gone off-topic?" Lee Jordan coughed lightly, bringing the subject back on track. "What's in the woods?"
"Nothing special, just an ordinary forest," George thought for a moment and then added, "We also saw some deer tracks."
"I think those are unicorn footprints, and we also found this." Fred pulled a few white hairs from his robe pocket and explained, "These are unicorn tail hairs."
"You guys weren't caught by the hunting ground guard?" Angelina exclaimed in surprise, picking up a unicorn's tail hair and examining it closely. "I've heard that students who wander into the forest always get caught by the hunting ground guard."
"We have a way to get out of Hagrid's sight." George and Fred looked at each other and said seriously, "As long as he doesn't find us, there won't be any problems."
The brief conversation ended quickly, and Albert planned to go to the library to look for information related to Professor Brod.
If this Defense Against the Dark Arts professor is well-known, it shouldn't be difficult to find relevant information.
"Would you like to come along another day?" Fred invited.
"Catch rabbits?" Albert raised an eyebrow. "I suggest you go fishing at Black Lake, dig a hole, and get some raw meat. That's definitely more reliable than catching rabbits."
"That's a good idea," Lee Jordan agreed.
"Aren't you going ice skating?" Fred looked at his friend beside him suspiciously.
"Look at how badly I've fallen, how am I supposed to skate now?" Lee Jordan's lips twitched, and he suddenly asked, "By the way, does anyone know how to grill fish?"
"I could give it a try, provided you can catch some fish." Albert thought for a moment and then added, "If that doesn't work, you can go to Hagrid; he'll definitely grill some fish."
"I thought you knew everything," Fred said, feigning seriousness. "Turns out, there are things you don't know!"
"Grilled fish shouldn't be too difficult, just brush some seasonings on it or something," Albert said seriously. "And when we do, we'll sprinkle some garlic from the dorm garden on it too."
"Don't even think about getting the garlic," George couldn't help but protest.
Once inside the library, the four stopped talking. If they wanted to find time to go fishing, they would need to finish their homework first.
This problem isn't too difficult.
After all, Albert would also do homework with them, and after they finished their homework, they could ask Albert for help with anything they didn't understand and get the solutions.
"What are you looking for?" Lee Jordan put away his homework, picked up the book Albert had placed next to him, and glanced at the title on the book: "The Great Wizard of the Twentieth Century."
Albert said softly, "I've heard that Professor Brod is very famous."
"Professor Brod?" George put down his pen, blew on the ink, and asked, "What do you want with him?"
"Let me see your parchment." Fred was annoyed that he had fallen behind and still had a big question left to answer.
"Do it yourself." George reached out and pressed the parchment down, preventing Fred from taking it away.
"Found it." Albert spread out the "Directory of Famous Contemporary Wizards" in front of him and read softly: "Bardbrod, pure-blood wizard, member of the Wizengamot Council, recipient of the Order of Merlin, third class, winner of the Barnabus-Finclination Award for Outstanding Spellcasting, interests: wizard chess, adventure."
Bardbrod was once the International Wizarding Chess Champion and won the European Wizarding Duel Championship using a staffless, silent full-body binding charm. He also rescued several Muggle climbers from a troll attack during an adventure, earning him a Third Class Order of Merlin…
He maintains friendly relations with many great wizards and is a close friend of contemporary magic masters Adber Wolflin and Mog McDoug.
Albert looked at the records above and fell into a brief silence.
Mog McDoug?
Coincidence?
Obviously not.
Is Ezebel McDougal clearly connected to this Mog McDougal, perhaps as a relative or kin?
Why did he say that Professor Brod thought highly of me?
Am I overthinking it?
Well, as long as Professor Brod doesn't have any ill intentions towards me, I'll just let things take their course. Albert wouldn't mind getting to know more famous wizards through Professor Brod.
"I didn't expect Professor Brod to be so famous!" Fred took the book from Albert, looked at the introduction of Professor Brod, and was quite surprised.
"The dueling champion?" George exclaimed in surprise. "No wonder he became the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor."
Albert, however, felt that Professor Brod's becoming the Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor had nothing to do with whether he was a dueling champion.
"By the way," Lee Jordan suddenly changed the subject, looking at Albert seriously, "I heard that some upperclassmen are planning to start a betting pool for the Quidditch match this weekend. Who are you planning to bet on to win?"
"Oh, I almost forgot about that. Who are you planning to bet on to win?" Fred and George asked in unison.
