When Albert woke up, the dormitory was pitch black, and he could faintly hear the sound of rain outside the window. The rain from last night had not stopped yet.
Albert sat up in bed, covering his mouth with his hand to stifle a yawn. It was all because of that strange dream he had last night; he felt very tired when he woke up.
Moreover, he woke up too early; his three roommates were still asleep.
Albert reached for the headboard, picked up the wand from the corner, and whispered the spell: "Fluorescence."
The tip of the wand emitted a pale light. He brought the glowing wand close to his mechanical pocket watch and glanced at the time: 5:40.
Sure enough, I woke up too early.
Albert extinguished the light from his wand, lay back down on the bed, and the mechanical pocket watch slipped from his hand onto the sheets.
This is a gift Luke bought for himself to celebrate receiving an invitation to Hogwarts.
Now that he was awake, Albert didn't intend to go back to sleep. He sat up on the bed, stretched, threw back the covers, and got out of bed to walk to the window. He unlocked the wooden latch, opened the wooden window, and looked out at the tower.
A gust of cold wind blew in his face, and Albert shivered, his mind instantly clearing.
The rain wasn't heavy, and it was still pitch black outside, with the entire castle shrouded in a hazy veil of rain.
"A great adventure," Albert muttered to himself, patting his cheek.
Albert closed the window, returned to his bedside, took out a robe from his suitcase and put it on. He then picked up his pocket watch and wand from the bedside and put them in his pocket. Before leaving the dormitory, he stopped and threw the clothes he had just changed into the basket in the bathroom. The house-elves would use magic to wash the clothes clean and then put them back on his bed.
That said, Hogwarts students actually have a pretty good life. They don't have to worry about many things and can just focus on learning magic.
The common room was quiet, with only one female ghost sitting on the sofa reading a book. She heard footsteps, looked up at Albert, and then continued to read her book.
Albert didn't bother the Ghost Lady, even though he wanted to talk to her, but he gave up in the end, as he hated being disturbed when he was reading.
Albert didn't linger in the lounge. He planned to explore the castle before everyone got up, and also look for the legendary Room of Requirement.
Pushing open the door to the lounge, Albert bent down and stepped through the round archway. The plump lady, still wearing a nightgown, watched the departing students with sleepy eyes.
She asked, "Where are you planning to go?"
"A walk." Albert looked down the dimly lit corridor, raised his wand, and continued on. This time, he didn't intend to take the same route he had taken the night before; instead, he planned to explore other places.
Perhaps it was because it was raining outside that the corridor felt cold and damp, much like a gloomy castle in a horror movie, where ghosts might crawl out from the walls at any moment and scare people half to death.
In fact, there are indeed ghosts in Hogwarts Castle, and quite a few of them. Even if a ghost were to come out of the wall right now, it wouldn't be considered strange.
As soon as he turned the corner, Albert saw the stone steps he had taken the night before. This time, he didn't go down, but continued forward.
After turning another corner, Albert found a large vase in front of him. Turning his head to look around, he actually found the tapestry of the giant wearing a ballet tutu.
"Looks like I'm in luck."
Albert quickened his pace, walked to the tapestry, raised his wand, and used the light from it to examine the bizarre tapestry before him. It was so bizarre that it was almost unbearable to look at.
On the tapestry, a group of trolls dressed in ballet attire, wielding wooden or bone clubs, are striking various alluring poses. A ballet teacher is trying to teach the trolls to dance, but is brutally beaten by one of them with a bone club.
As Albert examined the tapestry, the troll stopped beating the ballet teacher, turned to look at him, as if to ask, "What are you looking at?"
If he had brought a camera, Albert would definitely have captured this hilarious scene.
However, the most important thing now is the Room of Requirement, which is in the white wall opposite this tapestry.
Albert stepped aside, turned to look at the white wall, then turned back to look at the tapestry, raised his right hand, and made a tapping motion toward the troll.
The rotten giant with cavities actually imitated him, raising his bone club and hitting the poor ballet teacher.
This scene is so heartbreaking that it brings tears to one's eyes.
Albert laughed happily, walked towards the white wall, and reached out to touch it. It was a very hard stone wall, and there was no so-called House of Requirement.
The condition for entering the Room of Requirement is to pass through this wall three times and concentrate on what you need.
"Through?" Albert raised his wand, the pale light illuminating one end of the white wall, where there was a window. He turned around and saw a vase as tall as a person.
So, actually, you went through it three times?
"A place to practice magic, a place to practice magic…" Albert focused his attention, walked to the window at one end of the white wall, turned around, went to the vase at the other end, and then turned back.
He muttered something to himself, and as he turned around for the third time, a change occurred on the wall.
Countless patterns emerged from the white wall, gradually revealing a smooth door.
Albert was in a good mood because he knew he had succeeded. He grasped the brass handle, opened the door, and went inside. It was a spacious room with torches burning along the walls, somewhat like a classroom.
There were many wooden bookshelves along the wall, holding hundreds of books, which Albert suspected were moved from a library. On the other side were some dolls used for practicing magic.
"That's wonderful," Albert said softly. With these books, he wouldn't need to go to the library to find them anymore.
However, when using this feature, you still need to be careful not to be discovered, since a door suddenly appearing on the wall can easily attract attention.
Albert did not linger. He turned and left the Room of Requirement, intending to consider how to use the place discreetly.
If he doesn't want anyone to know, he needs to make sure he didn't encounter anyone when he came in, and he didn't encounter anyone else when he came out, so that he can keep the secret of this place.
He needs the Disillusionment Charm and a live map.
The Disillusionment Charm should be found in that pile of books, but the Marauder's Map, which Filch has, won't be easy to obtain.
Make one yourself?
He doesn't have that ability right now.
Oh well, let's take it slow! Anyway, I'll be staying here for another seven years.
After Albert turned and left, the door to the Room of Requirement slowly disappeared again, turning back into an ordinary white wall. Few people at the school knew that there was a magical room there.
