Krillin, Chi-Chi, and the others had already witnessed Frieza's terrifying power. They knew they were no match for him, and there was no reason to continue fighting. More importantly, they couldn't afford to distract Son Goku.
So they withdrew from the battlefield.
After leaving the combat zone, everyone headed toward a Namekian village to speak with the Grand Supreme Elder about what came next.
At that moment, Chi-Chi suddenly felt unwell.
She stepped aside, braced herself against a wall, and retched a few times, only clear liquid coming up.
The discomfort didn't alarm her.
Instead, a spark of joy flashed in her eyes.
This was a symptom she had been waiting for.
She was pregnant.
But on a Namek that was hanging by a thread—where the planet could explode at any moment—this was no time to celebrate.
She remembered the plan she and Bulma had prepared and immediately made a call.
"Hello, Bulma… it's me, Chi-Chi. Goku and Frieza have started their final battle."
Bulma's voice came through at once.
"So it's begun?"
"Alright. I'll contact Earth now and have everyone on Namek—except Frieza and Goku—teleported to Earth."
Before hanging up, Chi-Chi heard Bulma pick up another line and speak with the Guardian.
Her voice was low, but Chi-Chi could still make out the key words:
"Everyone… except Goku and Frieza."
Bulma was asking the Guardian to use the Dragon Balls to send all of them off Namek.
When the call returned to full volume, Bulma said,
"Alright, everything's arranged."
"You'll probably be back on Earth suddenly in a moment. Tell everyone to be ready."
"Once you're there, settle the Namekians at Capsule Corporation."
Chi-Chi nodded. "I know. Everyone's prepared. We're talking with the Namekians now."
"That's good," Bulma replied.
Then Chi-Chi asked, a little worried, "But Bulma… you're not on Namek. That means you won't be teleported with us, right?"
Bulma laughed. "It's fine. I wasn't planning to go back with you."
Chi-Chi hesitated. "And…?"
Bulma paused before continuing. "And Goku is still fighting."
"When he's done, I'll try to pick him up."
"If we can't make it back before Namek's Dragon Balls recover, you can use Porunga to send us home."
Chi-Chi replied softly, "Alright, I understand."
"I hope nothing happens… that we won't even need the Dragon Balls… and that we all go home together."
Bulma said confidently, "We will. Definitely."
"You trust me, don't you?"
"By the way, Chi-Chi… I need a favor."
"What is it?"
"Help me take care of Bra. If she gets too noisy at home, just send her to kindergarten."
Chi-Chi smiled faintly. "You don't even need to ask. Of course I will."
"And you… take care of Goku."
"There's one more thing I want you to tell him after the fight."
She hesitated for a moment.
Bulma asked curiously, "What is it? Why so mysterious?"
Chi-Chi whispered, "I might be pregnant…"
On the ship, Bulma blinked. "What?! Really?"
Chi-Chi replied softly, "I think so. We'll know for sure once I get checked back home."
"Please… make sure you tell Goku. Tell him to come back to Earth as soon as he can…"
Bulma answered gently, "I know. You take care of yourself too. I'll even help you hire a nanny if you want."
Before Chi-Chi could say anything else—
Chi-Chi, Krillin, Vegeta, Piccolo, Tien…
And everyone on Namek except Goku and Frieza—
vanished.
On Planet Namek, only Son Goku and Frieza remained.
Their battle erupted.
After a brief exchange, Frieza was smashed into a pile of rocks.
Naturally, he was unharmed.
He shook off the rubble, brushed the dust from his body, and looked at Goku with excitement.
"I never expected this… You're incredibly strong."
"Besides my father, you're the first one who's ever knocked me around like this."
"I'm actually thrilled."
"So… how should I deal with you?"
At that moment, Goku's senses sharpened.
He felt the auras of everyone else on the planet vanish.
Bulma had already used Earth's Dragon Balls to send them away.
Seeing Goku's expression, Frieza grew curious.
"What is it? What are you so pleased about?"
Goku met his gaze. "We asked the dragon to move everyone else off this planet."
"Now, only you and I remain here."
"We can fight with everything we have."
Frieza froze.
"The dragon…?"
"You mean you gathered Namek's Dragon Balls and used them together?"
"And your wish was to send everyone away?"
Goku shook his head. "No. We already used Namek's Dragon Balls."
"This time, we used Earth's Dragon Balls."
Frieza's eyes narrowed.
"Earth also has Dragon Balls?"
Goku nodded. "That's right. Earth has them too."
"Frieza… you want immortality, don't you?"
Frieza was taken aback.
"You even know that?"
Goku continued calmly, "I know you've been the ruler of the universe for many years."
"You're proud. You'd never take advice from someone you see as an insect."
"But I still want you to listen to me."
"Don't destroy this planet."
"If you promise that…"
"As a trade, I'll personally gather the Dragon Balls and wish for your immortality."
Frieza's lips curled into a smile.
"Oh ho ho ho ho… immortality… how tempting."
"You stopped my dream… and now you offer it back to me."
"Are you trying to leave yourself a way out?"
"How interesting."
"You're different from Vegeta, that arrogant fool."
"Tell me… would you like to join the Frieza Force?"
"I make you a sincere offer."
Goku shook his head.
"Joining the Frieza Force? No."
"I don't like working under someone else…"
Frieza placed a fist against his mouth, amused. "Oh?"
"Is it because I'm not offering you enough power?"
"Do you want to replace me as the emperor of the universe?"
Goku shook his head again. "No. I'm even less interested in that."
"I just want a life like this."
"My family beside me."
"Enough food, a peaceful home."
"And every day, doing what I love."
"I'm already satisfied."
"Oh ho ho ho ho… such a simple wish."
"You really are different from the Saiyans I've known."
Then Frieza's eyes turned cold.
"But if you hid on Earth your whole life, perhaps I'd never have paid you any attention."
"However… you've shown me your power."
"And your friends on Earth—while not as strong as you—are still formidable."
"So many powerful warriors… that makes me uneasy."
"So, you… and those Earthlings…"
"If you cannot serve me…"
"I will kill every last one of you."
"Any threat must be eliminated."
Goku's calm expression hardened, battle intent surging within him.
"So that's how it is…"
"That's a shame."
"Then I understand now."
"Today… we settle this."
"One fight."
"One life."
Goku raised his stance.
Frieza curled his finger at him.
"Come."
In an instant, Goku rushed forward and smashed his fist into Frieza's face.
Frieza was blasted backward, smashing through one low mountain after another before crashing into a field of shattered stone.
In the dust, Frieza stared in disbelief.
He had been prepared—yet he was still sent flying in a single blow.
The next moment, he shot out of the debris and took to the sky.
But Goku, like a streak of light, was already upon him.
Another heavy punch slammed into Frieza's face.
Startled, Frieza swung back, trying to drive Goku away.
But his blow only staggered him—it didn't stop him.
In the next instant, Goku changed his fist into an open palm, grabbed Frieza by the face, and smashed him straight into the ground.
Stone exploded beneath Frieza's skull.
It wasn't over.
Goku kept hold of his head and began running forward.
Frieza's face became a plow, gouging through the rock, pulverizing everything in their path.
His screams echoed across the sky.
After dragging him hundreds of meters, Frieza finally broke free.
But his body was covered in dust and debris.
He was in pain.
And he was furious.
"Damn you…!"
He kicked at Goku.
Goku tilted his head slightly—dodged.
Frieza swung his tail.
Goku leaned back—evaded again.
As the tail passed, Goku grabbed it with one hand.
In the next instant, he swung Frieza in a full arc and slammed him into the ground.
"CRACK!"
The impact shook the world.
The rocky surface collapsed into a Frieza-shaped crater.
Frieza struggled up.
Goku stepped in and drove a single uppercut into him.
No fancy technique.
No tricks.
Just overwhelming force.
Frieza's face twisted. His vision blurred.
Pain flooded him.
Only one word echoed in his mind:
Pain.
How could this Saiyan hit harder than him? It made no sense.
Frieza pointed a finger at Goku.
A blast of Ki shot forth.
Goku didn't dodge.
The explosion swallowed him.
Frieza's eyes lit up. "Did I get him?"
A breeze passed.
The smoke cleared.
Goku stood unharmed in midair.
His expression hadn't changed.
Frieza stared.
"How… how is that possible?"
"Not even a scratch?"
Goku cracked his knuckles slowly.
"Frieza… I already told you."
"I was going to show you what true power is."
"You've taken all those hits…"
"Don't you feel it yet?"
Frieza's pupils shrank.
"What are you saying…?"
Goku smiled faintly.
"It's simple."
"My strength, speed, and technique… in every way, I surpass you."
"My Ki is far greater than yours."
"So my defense is something you can't break."
"Your attacks… they don't work on me anymore."
Frieza roared in rage.
"You're saying my attacks are useless?!"
He lunged.
But no one saw how Goku moved.
Only an afterimage flashed—
and agony tore through Frieza's abdomen.
His eyes bulged. Veins stood out across his body.
He staggered backward dozens of meters, staring at his own stomach in disbelief.
"How… how can this be…?"
"I am the emperor of the universe… I am Frieza!"
"This can't be happening!"
"Is this a nightmare?!"
His voice trembled.
Then Goku spoke again—cutting straight through his pride.
"You're too weak, Frieza."
"You have power, but no technique."
"You're fine against small fry."
"But against someone stronger than you… you have no chance."
"Honestly… fighting you is boring."
Frieza's entire body shook.
"You… you dare look down on me?!"
"Very well!"
"Now I'll use one hundred percent of my power!"
"Up until now, I was only at seventy percent!"
"When I unleash everything… you won't stand a chance!"
Goku crossed his arms calmly. "Good. I'll wait."
Frieza snarled, "You're not afraid?"
"You're actually giving me time to power up?"
Goku answered coldly, "Why should I be afraid?"
"I want you at your strongest…"
"So I can defeat you at your strongest."
"You can go to hell with all your regret and despair…"
Frieza laughed wildly. "Arrogant fool! I'll crush you with my full power!"
He roared.
The ground quaked. Stones rose into the air.
His muscles swelled massively, power surging through his body.
"This is it… my full strength!"
"Now… taste it!"
He raised a finger. A black sphere of energy formed, crackling with lightning.
"This attack uses everything I have."
"If you don't dodge… you will die."
Goku drew his stance, hands at his side.
"Frieza… remember this move in hell."
"Feel the power I'm about to show you…"
"Kame… hame… ha!"
Brilliant light gathered in Goku's palms.
Frieza's black sphere expanded to a massive radius.
With a simultaneous roar, their attacks collided.
Compared to Frieza's colossal energy sphere, Goku's Kamehameha looked almost insignificant.
Frieza pushed forward, already envisioning Goku being crushed to dust.
But suddenly—
the beam erupted with overwhelming force.
Frieza's sphere was driven backward—forced back toward him.
He thrust out his arms, trying to hold it.
But he couldn't.
"RIIIIIP!"
The Kamehameha swallowed the black sphere and surged onward.
A blinding white light consumed Frieza.
There was no pain.
Only annihilation.
In an instant, his form vanished completely.
The emperor of the universe… was no more.
