Rain didn't want to come to see day when he had his parents over.
That's why when his papa left to see to some business for a few hours before he was back to stay the night, Day found the opportunity to invite his friend over and visit.
"How do you feel?"
"isolated. I want a hug."
Finally, they had removed the damned curtains out of the way this afternoon, and Day has been aching to be held.
Rain doesn't say a word, smiling, and then he hugs Day tightly.
"oh god," he doesn't understand why he is crying. Why does this feel so good, and the waterworks are just open. "I'm so sorry, I don't know why I am crying-"
"It's okay," Rain only hugs him tighter, rubbing his back. "You can cry, it's okay. I missed you so much."
"I missed you too," Day answers all wobbly and watery, before he chuckles and pulls back, wiping his eyes with his hands.
Rain uses the sleeves of his sweater to dry his tears off.
