As soon as Mao is gone, Day is quick to get out of the bubble around his bed and goes to the suitcase with his things neatly put in the closet.
The hospital has made this entire place look like an apartment for him, the only difference being the smell and the fact that he is always connected to the machines.
Right now, they are ringing like crazy, but he can't care about that, not when he is on a mission to find his phone.
He takes it as soon as he touches it, together with a charger, and rushes back to the bed, just as a nurse runs in to check and see what's going on.
Day slides the two items under his pillow and looks at the nurse sheepishly.
"I wanted to go to the bathroom, but I didn't realize it would make so much noise."
"Oh," she exhales, relieved to see nothing bad was happening on her watch. "You can relieve yourself even from your bed, it's all connected-"
