"Bzzz—"
In the chaotic buzzing inside her brain, Hayoon muddily opened her eyes.
Her first reaction was darkness as thick as ink.
Next, it felt as though something had slammed hard into her nose; the sting was so sharp she couldn't smell anything at all, and her vision swam, leaving her nauseated wanting to vomit yet unable to do so.
She paused for a few seconds and barely managing to shake off the intense dizziness in his head.
As her eyes slowly adapted to the darkness, she saw that the place she was in seemed like a pitch-black cave.
With her hand covering her mouth and nose, she could feel strands of cold wind drifting past.
Her last memory before her heart attack was being in the experimental field and picking up string beans under the glow of the evening sunset.
So… is this the world after death?
Her head hurt, her nose hurt, everything hurt… she felt so miserable that she decided to go outside for some fresh air.
She then standing up and followed the faint light, taking one step at a time toward the mouth of the cave.
When she finally stepped onto solid, level ground, the sunlight spreading from the horizon made her squint instinctively.
Before her stretched a vast expanse of open plains, where the tall unknown grasses of the Poaceae family swayed high above.
With each gust of wind, great waves of green rippled across the land.
Farther away, the verdant mountain ranges rose majestically in winding lines, with massive tree crowns towering straight into the high azure sky.
The white clouds were both ethereal and heavy…
It's looked like wild geese, yet with it's wingspans exceeding two meters, a line of black birds glided overhead calling melodiously as they soared across the sky.
Another gust of wind rushed toward her forcing Hayoon to stumble back a step, her eyes widening in shock.
Had she accidentally wandered into some kind of giant kingdom? Why was everything so enormous?
Or… had her 24 years old adult body shrunk?
She quickly lowered her head to look at her hands… thankfully, the size was correct.
Her wheat colored skin, the calluses on her fingertips and palms formed from years of farm work those were all still there.
Except… why did her hands look different in shape?
She focused her eyes, trying to see more clearly, not noticing the approaching "rustle, rustle" sound.
It wasn't until a massive shadow fell over her that she belatedly raised her head…
A snake!! A huge white python!!
Hayoon's pupils contracted sharply, her heartbeat stopping in fright.
Her already muddled mind turned completely into paste, unable to think at all.
She was a graduate student in agronomy and long accustomed to dealing with crops; she had seen all kinds of bugs, mice, and snakes in the fields.
If it were an ordinary python, she wouldn't be this terrified.
The problem was that this white python was extraordinarily gigantic!
It had only lifted a small portion of its body, yet it was already as tall as a two-story building!
