Chapter 442 - Chapter 442: Who Allowed You to Come Here!

Chapter 442: Who Allowed You to Come Here!

Mike could only retract the severed segment of his tentacle, his dark energy pulsing as it tried to knit back together.

"Your opponent is me." Corvus Glaive stood alone, blocking three Shadow Generals at once with cold, lethal efficiency.

Behind him, Proxima Midnight smiled mockingly. She used her telekinesis to hoist Kingpin high into the air. "Savage beast, do you have any last words?"

"If not, the Children of Titan will grant you salvation!" Proxima's gaze turned sharp. The tip of her divine spear erupted with golden light, accompanied by the crackle of thunderous energy.

"ARGH!" Kingpin roared in agony. The pain surged deep into his marrow, as if his very life force was being forcibly extracted.

Proxima Midnight's smile grew cruel. She intentionally held back from killing Kingpin instantly, choosing to torture him instead. She delighted in seeing her enemies in such unbearable pain; it was truly exhilarating.

"Let go of Uncle Kingpin!" Jenny erupted from the swarm of enemies, her massive, skyscraper-sized form charging forward like a juggernaut.

"Oh? You want him? Have him back!" Proxima Midnight swung her spear, launching Kingpin like a cannonball. He moved in a high arc through the air before slamming into Jenny's massive frame.

The incredible momentum sent Jenny tumbling backward, clutching Kingpin. They crashed into the ice, and a horde of alien soldiers immediately swarmed over them, burying them beneath a sea of blades.

Having dealt with them, Proxima Midnight turned her eyes to Corvus Glaive, who was still locked in a stalemate with Mike, John, and Eddie.

"You're being too slow," Proxima reminded him.

Corvus Glaive laughed as he parried a strike. "Just warming up. It's time to end this!"

He swept his glaive in a wide arc. For a fleeting second, the blade glowed with a brilReice like a flower blooming at dawn.

Shred!

The blade tore through Mike's midsection, clean-cutting him in half at the waist.

"ARGH!" Mike felt a searing pain, and then, to his horror, he saw his own lower half still standing on the ground several feet away.

"MIKE!" John screamed hoarsely. He lunged forward, using his razor-sharp claws to block Corvus's follow-up strike.

Eddie kicked the glaive away and barked, "Go check on him! I've got this!"

"Got it!" John didn't hesitate. He rushed to Mike's side and propped up his upper torso.

"Eddie, this is suicide!" Venom's voice hissed frantically inside Eddie's head. Venom hadn't even been confident when it was three-on-one; now it was just them.

"Don't be a coward, Venom. You'll keep me alive, right?" Eddie replied. Currently, Eddie was in the Venom form, but he was the one in control of the movements.

"Dammit! I have limits! If you get sliced in two, how am I supposed to fix that?!" Venom didn't waste another second and forcibly took back control of the body. He was far more experienced in combat than Eddie and wouldn't be bullied in a melee by Corvus Glaive.

"How are you feeling, Mike?" John asked nervously, helping Mike up. He couldn't stand the thought of losing another comrade.

"I'm fine... not dead yet. We're Shadow Generals..." Mike's face was deathly pale, sweat beading on his forehead. The pain of being cut in half was enough to kill a normal man from shock alone.

"But you're..." John trailed off, terrified Mike would succumb to the agony.

"Don't worry." Mike patted John's hand. Before he was a Shadow General, he had been a police officer and an elite soldier. His willpower was far beyond that of an average human. "Actually, I think it's better if you return to the Shadow Kingdom for a moment," John suggested. The surrounding enemies were being kept at bay by the Shadow Khan ninjas for now.

"No. For the Great Dark Lord... CHARGE!" Mike reached out with his long tentacles, grabbing his lower half and pulling it back to his torso. Shadow energy acted like a liquid adhesive, fusing the two halves back together in a grotesque display of regeneration.

"If you're coming back, do it fast!" Venom shouted desperately. He was being hacked to pieces by Corvus. If he weren't a symbiote, he would have died hundreds of deaths by now.

"Coming!" John stood up, unsheathing his claws, and lunged forward to assist Venom. If Mike wanted to keep fighting, John wouldn't stop him. Everything was for the Great Dark Lord!

Mike stood up unsteadily, his upper body swaying. It looked as though he might fall apart at any moment. "Shadow Khan! Colosseum!" Mike roared.

Immediately, the Squid ninjas nearby extended their limbs, lacing them together with their comrades to form a natural perimeter of living walls. The trapped enemies were confused—until the ground beneath them turned into a pitch-black abyss.

Countless tentacles erupted from the shadows, dragging the alien soldiers down. This was a technique Mike had developed: using the interlocked ninjas to anchor a portal to the Shadow Kingdom, where the "Dragon" ninjas would finish them off.

"Kill the masked ones first!" Proxima Midnight commanded. She realized their forces were being drained by an endless army. Killing the Generals was the only way to make the soldiers disperse.

Proxima raised her divine spear again. Three beams of crimson laser light tore through the air, aimed directly at Rei, who was busy fighting off a group of soldiers. Rei tried to raise her cursed blade to defend herself, but an enemy bit down on her arm, forcing her to drop her weapon in pain.

"Who gave you the courage... to come here?"

A deep, powerful voice resonated from the sky. The earth began to tremble, and a massive wall of solid stone erupted from the ground in front of Rei.

BOOM!

The stone wall crumbled instantly upon impact with the lasers, but the beams were neutralized.

"Who's there?!" Proxima Midnight shouted.

A majestic figure descended slowly from the heavens. He was tall and lean, clad in flawless, obsidian-like armor. An aura of ancient, world-conquering power radiated from him. This was Silas, arriving from New York!

"Another one seeking death!" Proxima Midnight hurled her divine spear. It streaked through the air like a golden arrow, rippling the very space around it. Destructive laser energy coiled around the shaft as it bore down on Silas.

Silas calmly extended both hands. An immense repulsive force exploded outward. Almighty Push!

BOOM!

Every enemy in the vicinity was swept away, sent flying across the ice. The divine spear stopped dead in the air right in front of Silas, its lasers flickering harmlessly.

"This is a nice spear. Too bad it's owned by the wrong person." Silas reached out and snatched the spear from the air, his cold eyes fixed on Proxima Midnight.

"How... how is that possible?!" Proxima was stunned. It would be one thing to dodge it—but he had caught it with his bare hands. She tried to trigger the lasers to burn him, but the energy remained dormant, like a dog sensing its true master.

"You want it? Have it back!"

Silas spun the spear around. The power of the Ox Talisman surged through his veins, his muscles bulging beneath his armor. He threw the spear with every ounce of his god-like strength.

The weapon descended like the wrath of a god, its power suppressing everyone nearby. It seemed to transcend both space and time!

"NO!" As Proxima Midnight froze, certain of her impending death, Corvus Glaive broke away from the Shadow Generals. He sprinted toward her, throwing his arms around her to shove her out of the way.
