Chapter 75 - Chapter 75: Infiltrating Freedom City

"Finally, it's quiet." Silas's room experienced a rare moment of peace because a moment ago, a fleet of police cars had driven past their house.

This instantly stopped Peter's incessant chatter. He quickly went next door, put on his suit, and went out to fight crime, but not before telling Silas: "Wait for me to get back, and we'll continue our chat."

As soon as Peter left, Little Black and Big Black emerged. Especially Big Black; Silas hadn't seen him for days.

"Come on, why are you only coming out now?" Silas said, feeling his head was about to explode.

Little Black and Big Black exchanged looks. "Master, your brother is far too talkative. We were afraid that if we stayed here, we'd be talked into a cloud of black mist."

Silas twitched his lips. Indeed, talk-no-jutsu was the most deadly and effective technique.

"It's going to be a long haul." Silas hoped Peter would talk less once he found a girlfriend.

Little Black shrugged. They didn't have such worries; they just had to obey orders, and if they died, they could be resurrected.

"The tablet?" Silas picked up the tablet Peter had left on the table. He was surprised Stark had given him this thing. But why did he have a feeling that something wasn't right?

Silas's subconscious kept warning him. He immediately picked up the tablet and threw it into the Shadow Realm, intending to return it to Peter when he got back.

Tap! Tap-tap!

Silas drummed his fingers on the table. He felt the tablet wasn't that simple. Could it have a listening device? But why would Stark install a listening device? Was he trying to find out about Silas through Peter?

"Hopefully, I'm overthinking it." Regardless, Silas knew he needed to be careful, at least around the tablet.

Never mind, no more thinking about it. Silas closed his eyes, put on his eye mask, and started resting and sleeping to recover his energy. He hadn't slept last night, so his spirits were low and he needed to catch up on rest.

Little Black studied diligently, but Big Black kept bothering him, poking him from time to time. Finally, with no other choice, the two started fighting.

Little Black closed his book bag, turned, and kicked at Big Black. Big Black's eyes were fast, and he grabbed Little Black's attacking foot.

Clang!

Little Black pulled a long sword from the Shadow Realm and slashed toward Big Black's chest. Big Black immediately jumped onto the ceiling, hanging upside down, dodging the strike.

Little Black pressed the attack, leaping off Silas's bed and aiming the gleaming long sword at Big Black.

Big Black was equally defiant. Hanging upside down, he clasped his hands together to catch the long sword, bare-handed!

But Little Black pulled five shurikens from his chest and threw them at Big Black's head and limbs.

Big Black was forced to release Little Black's long sword. Just as he was about to enter the Shadow Realm to escape, a leg appeared in front of him. Bang! He instantly dissipated into a cloud of black mist.

The owner of the leg was Silas. With his excellent hearing, how could he not hear Big Black and Little Black fighting?

Little Black saw Big Black turn into black mist, put away his sword, and prepared to sneak into the Shadow Realm. Unexpectedly, Silas vanished invisibly and reappeared in front of Little Black. Bang! Little Black also turned into black mist.

"Now it's quiet." Silas could finally lie down leisurely on the lounge chair, put on his eye mask and headphones, and listen to pure sleep music.

Afternoon Dinner Time

"Twenty thousand dollars from Stark?!" Ben Parker heard about the news as soon as he returned home from Aunt May. He couldn't believe it, mainly because Peter wasn't home at the time. Now that Peter was back, he had to ask properly.

Reluctantly, Silas silently summoned a Shadowkhan to return the tablet to the table in his room.

Seeing that Uncle Ben didn't believe him, Peter went upstairs to Silas's room, retrieved the tablet, and played the video for Ben Parker.

"That's truly unbelievable." Ben Parker never imagined he would come this close to someone as rich as Stark.

"Alright, Ben. Now, Peter wants to use this money to buy you a new car," Aunt May brought the conversation back to the main topic.

Ben Parker thought for a moment. "Peter, never mind. You keep the money and spend it yourself, but remember not to waste it."

"No, Uncle Ben. If you don't take the money, I'll return it to Mr. Stark," Peter refused. He knew how much his Uncle Ben wanted a new car for transportation. He often saw Uncle Ben looking at the used car prices in the newspaper. Now that he had twenty thousand dollars, he could definitely get Uncle Ben a brand-new car, so he wouldn't have to buy a faulty used car.

"Hmm... Thank you, Peter. I'll accept the money, but consider it a loan from you," Ben Parker said.

"You really don't have to, Uncle Ben..." Peter started to say.

Ben Parker interrupted him. "Do you think your Uncle Ben is too old to earn money anymore?" With that, Ben Parker stood up and flexed his muscles a few times.

"Just leave it, Peter. That's your Uncle Ben for you—too old to admit defeat," Aunt May said with a laugh.

Ben Parker wasn't happy to hear that. "May, how can you say that? Strictly speaking, I haven't entered my middle-aged years yet." "I can at least support these two brothers until they graduate from college." Ben Parker was determined not to lose.

"Everyone, please hurry up and eat dinner, or it will get cold and won't taste as good," Silas said, taking a bite of the fried shrimp in front of him. Listening to them humbly yield to each other, Silas really wanted to shout, "Stop yielding! I have money!"

"Right, let's eat dinner quickly," Aunt May finally realized and said.

Speaking of dinner, Silas missed Chinese food a little. Maybe when he had time, he could go to Chinatown or send a Shadowkhan to China to get the coordinates. That way, he could eat whatever he wanted, especially hot pot. The thought of the taste made him nostalgic.

It wasn't just about the food; there might be a Talisman there, which would make things much easier than taking a flight.

After dinner, Silas sent Little Black to Freedom City. Since the last coordinates for Freedom City had been used, Silas spent Evil Points to resurrect Little Black early. Little Black wanted to go there to study, and this was the perfect opportunity.

Silas also gave Little Black the Tara Mask, but for now, it was just a mask and didn't have any effect. Silas planned to exchange for Shadowkhan Masks later and give one to Little Black and Big Black, which would allow them to evolve into Shadowkhan Generals and gain greater power. He would instantly turn them into masters, but they would still be under Silas's command. After all, he was the final boss, the man Thanos would constantly talk about, hehe.

Freedom City

Little Black had secretly infiltrated the area, using the Shadow Realm's travel ability to pass through walls, searching for Tony's lab.

However, Little Black didn't know that Tony had already discovered him. After the previous incident with Nick Fury, the place was covered in cameras, monitored in real-time by J.A.R.V.I.S.

The Lab

"An uninvited guest has arrived?" Tony raised an eyebrow.

"Sir, should I expel him?" J.A.R.V.I.S. asked.

Tony carefully compared the images. "He doesn't seem to be the same black-clothed man from last time?"

"Yes, Sir. The two individuals have different habitual movements. The previous black-clothed man often raises his right hand first, while this black-clothed man raises his left hand first," J.A.R.V.I.S. analyzed instantly.

"Ignore him for now." Tony decided to have some fun with this new black-clothed man.
