Riko snort coldly. "With only a useless Normal Monster left in your hand, let me see which card you draw can safe you."
Ryuji frow a little at Riko word, he can feel the card in his hand shaking a little while the Number monster wear a smirk on its face.
"Heh, just getting new power and you already call your old partner useless, even arrogant enough to left it in attack position? Then let me show you that your Number monster is nothing special. And remember that even if the monster is truly invincible, the duelist is not.
I activate my set card Supersoaring; Target 1 Dinosaur monster that is banished or in either GY; Special Summon it to my field. I target my banished Super Conductor Tyranno."
Riko immediately tense up, right now her LP only have 425 lefts. With Super Conductor Tyranno 3300 atk, if its attack her Number 24, the battle damage is enough to defeat her. What worse is that even if she put all of her monster on defense position, Ryuji can still activate his monster effect to deal 1000 LP to her directly. This time, she has become the weakness to her monster.
Riko obviously can't let Ryuji summon Super Conductor Tyranno. "I activate Counter Trap Numbers Protection; When a Spell/Trap Card, or monster effect, is activated, while I control a "Number" Xyz Monster: Negate the activation, and if I do, destroy that card. I negate your Supersoaring!"

Mr.Heartland can only turn away helplessly. The fact that Riko print that card on the spot is undeniable, if not then why tf did she even have a Number related card in her deck when she didn't have any Number monster previously.
"...I activate Spell Books from the Pot; Each player draws 3 cards. Any response?" If right now Riko pull out the second Number Protection, then he will have to go hand to hand combat instead. Of course, not him and Riko but his 5 spirits again Riko Number. If they decide to play dirty then he has no reason to hold back, right?
Fortunately, Riko did not have that. "I have no response, keep going."
Ryuji put his hand on top of his deck, he slowly feels his spirit power start to rush towards his deck. 'Hmm?' He is slightly confused since he feels an unfamiliar energy. He turns his gaze at the card on his hand. "Heh~ you must be angry because of that Number, right? Then let us free her together, draw!"
The moment Ryuji draw the card; an overwhelming dark energy erupts from the card. "Look like I have to rely on you one more time, 'father'."
Demise stands beside Ryuji with a satisfied smile on his face, meanwhile a figured cover in fog and thunder appear beside him. Although uncompleted, his pair of horn and devil wing are still clearly seen. He stares at Demise and Ryuji with disbelief, then he turns towards Riko with sparkle eyes.
Ryuji ignore him and slam a card down. "I activate Advanced Ritual Art; I can send Normal Monsters from my Deck to the GY whose total Levels equal the Level of the Ritual Monster I want to summon. I send 2 Megalosmasher X to the graveyard to summon Demise, King of Armageddon!"

'?' Riko look at Ryuji with disbelief. First fusion and now he pulls out a Ritual monster. 'Don't tell me he gonna Synchro summon in the future...'
"Ready or not, I am gonna destroy you. I activate Demise effect; I pay 2000 LP to destroy all other cards on the field." Demise slowly raises his axe under Riko horrific eyes. "Destroy everything, end of the world!"

Riko close her eyes as Demise swing its axe down causing a shockwave sweep across the field. Ryuji got a chance to see which card Riko set on the field, after he see it, he froze in shock. 'Tch tch, using that card in your deck already decided you're losing in this duel. This card curse is just that great.'
The card Ryuji is no other than the infamous Sakuretsu Armor.
After a few moments, Riko open her eyes to see her empty field. Clenching her teeth, she shouts out "Dragulas effect; If this face-up card in my control is sent to my GY or banished by my opponent's card effect: I can Special Summon this card in face-down Defense Position."
Soon, a face-down card appears on Riko field. Ryuji just look at Riko mockingly. "You didn't seriously think that your monster is safe, right? Once again, I activate Demise effect; I pay 2000 LP to destroy all other cards on the field! End of the world!"
Riko stand there, frozen as Demise rise its axe once again. "N-NO!"
But no matter how much she screams, she can only watch the axe swing down in desperate. The shockwave sends her backwards, fall on the ground.
After the field quiet down, Ryuji look deeply at Riko violently shaking pupils, the red light in it begins to fade away. At the same time, the red energy covers her body begins to withdraw into the duel disk graveyard, more accurate, towards Number 24.
"Look like her mind is trying hard to suppress the Number control, then let me help her a little. I tribute Demise, King of Armageddon to summon Summoned Skull!"

The moment Riko hear the monster's name, she lifts her head to look at it, but her eyes are still in a daze state.
"I attack you directly with Summoned Skull, thunder attack!" With determine eyes, Summoned Skull raise it hand and release a thunderstorm towards Riko hoping to awake her.
Riko watch the attack get closer and let out a heavy sigh. "You just want to humiliate me with my monster, why say such righteous thing." Riko look at a card on her hand that she just draws 'Kuriboh'. After a moment of hesitation, she didn't make a move and let the attack hit her.

After the duel, Mr.Heartland take Riko to the hospital to check on her health. While doing that, he will try to convince her to join his organization.
As for Ryuji, right now he is scolded by Dextra and Nistro for his recklessness. As for the others, although they're also worry about him, but they know that Dextra and Nistro are the only two persons have the right to scolded him since only the two of them are his family.
"You reckless idiot! Why did you even continue the duel!? Is it more important than your life?" Ryuji was being shaking back and forth by Dextra. Ever since her affection reach 99, she has never talk to him this harsh. Although compared to what other would say in this situation, it not really considers harsh at all.
Just as Ryuji about to comfort Dextra, she suddenly gets pull back by Nistro. He goes forward and puts a hand on Ryuji shoulder. With a solemn tone he says "I won't ask why you keep duel in such emergency situation, I believe you have your own reasons. But I want to know just one thing."
Although Nistro didn't say the question, as his best friend, Ryuji already know what he wants to ask. He takes a card out from his pocket and show it to them with a confident smile. "I will never lose."
The card is show them is no other than the rewards for the winner of the tournament, 'Gaia Dragon, the Thunder Charger'.
"Haha, I know you can do it!" Nistro quickly wrap his arm around Ryuji neck with a genuinely smile on his face. "Quick, let's go find something to eat. You pay."
Ryuji look at Nistro with annoyed. "Shouldn't you the one paying to celebrate me?"
Nistro roll his eyes and respond back. "Don't be petty, you just won 200,000 ¥ didn't you? And you also have to make up for making us worry. Isn't that right, guys?"
"YES!" Dextra, Yuma, Kari and Tori speak in union.
Ryuji can only go along with them and smile helplessly. "Alright alright, I will pay. But I want to choose what we will have for lunch."

Then, the voice of a young boy suddenly emits beside her. "You're awake? Here, eat some apples." Without waiting for her to answer, Ryuji put the apple on her hand and go back to peel the apple skin.
Riko look blankly at the apple piece Ryuji give to her, instead of eating she ask him curiously. "Why are you here?"
"I just want to check on my opponent since you know, I was the one who knock you out. It will be bad if your parents demand compensated." Ryuji said it jokingly. "But I guess it's Mr.Heartland job to deal with it. After all, right now he's my legal guardian."
"Heh~ So you didn't want to take response for what you did to me after all. You playboy!" Riko said while throw the apple piece into her mouth. "Since you mentioned my parents, where are they? They should have rush to the hospital immediately when their girl got hurt." Riko say which wipe away the non-exist tear at the corner of her eyes.
She secretly took a glance at Ryuji, but he didn't give her any attention. With a huff, Riko fall back to the hospital bed.
Then, she raises her hand upward catching Ryuji attention. A flow of red energy begins to gather above her hand, after it forms a shape of a card, Riko catch it. "So, this is the Number monster that affected my mind?"
"Yes, Mr.Heartland already tell you about it and ask you to join the organization, right? What do you think? Want to 'save' the world?" Ryuji ask Riko with serious tone. "Before you agree to join, I can tell you that what we'll do isn't have anything to do with justice."
Riko fell silent for a moment before answering him. "I need time to think about that. But if you manage to answer 2 of my questions then I will agree." Riko say in a soft tone, almost nervous.
Ryuji raise his eyebrows in curious. "Sure, what's it??
Riko look at him seriously. "First, will my parents know about it? I mean you guys should have a properly ways to avoid my parents from discover what I am doing right?"
Ryuji think for a moment before answering her. "In the academy the students can choose between become boarding students or day students. If you become a boarding student, then you don't have to worry about your parents found out you joining our organization."
"You are a genius! Let's go with that!" Riko nodding with her eyes sparkling like a star.
"You can also think of it if you decide to use your brain a little. You can ask Mr.Heartland later to set you in a single dormitory so no one could know about you going outside doing mission in the future. Now, what's your second question?"
"Uh... About that..." Riko face redden slightly, she leans in closer to Ryuji and whispering in his ear.

After his talk with Riko, Ryuji walk out of the room and prepare to go home. Before that, he turns to Mr.Heartland who was waiting for him.
"I assume that you successfully convince her to join us?"
"Yea." Ryuji begin to list Riko condition in order for her to join.
Mr.Heartland think for a moment before nodding at Ryuji comfortably. "No problem at all, at sunday next week, you can bring her to my office in the academy, perhaps you can also bring Dextra and Nistro as well."
"I will." Ryuji don't say much and glance at the blue panel beside him.
